Original work.
Name: Ryker Jaimes
Plot: Thus far? Boarding school for magic kids + assassins + death. That's all I got.
Oh nice.Age: 1205
WHAT AN OLDIE.Race: Byzantine Vampire
Ooo, sounds interesting. Background: Turned in 830 a.d. they lived through most of recorded history. They spent the 16th and 17th century in China, when opium imports were the highest. As a result they are fluent in Mandarin and has an opium addiction. They fought in both World Wars, and after the second they went rogue; a vampiric term for resigning control to your base animalistic instincts. In 2007 a conglomerate of civil vampires captured them, and spent the following 10 years converting them back to civility. They were taught English, and currently is taking classes at a boarding school as part of their rehabilitation.
I know it's awful, but I love how they have an opium addiction because of the wrong place at the wrong time. Very interesting background.Sexuality: Ace
S/O: N/A
Appearance: Tall, lithe, large sunken grey-blue eyes, coarse black hair. High, prominent cheek bones, a straight nose, effeminately long eyelashes. Dark tan skin with typical 'bloodless' vampiric undertones, heavy bags under eyes, perfectly straight teeth, eye teeth sharper and longer than normal human eye teeth. Wears knit sweaters and full-length jeans all the time, fingers are long, thin, and nimble with thin white scars peppering the knuckles, they chew their fingernails often, but because their hair and nails grow at an accelerated rate their fingernails nearly never appear bitten-down. Lurks in shadows, can go out in the sun, but prefers the dark, their eyes are sensitive and their skin sunburns easily, stays on the edges of places
I like their outfits.Distinguishing features: Fangs, the faded remains of bullet wound scars on their right shoulder and left hip, more recent claw and teeth scars from run-ins with wild animals, mostly restricted to their arms, a thick, old slash running diagonally down their back (older than the bullet wounds).
Scars, they tell so many stories. I like that they don't have flawless skin.Habits: Chewing fingernails, staring, lurking.
Relatable.Self-confidence level: Obnoxiously high
Also relatable.Ruled by Emotion/Logic/Mix: 90% logic 10% emotion.
Oh boy, all logic, barely emotion. I'd love to see this character make choices.Introvert.
Strengths: Bone tensile strength exceptionally high, high pain tolerance, manipulative, a quick learner. When in darkness they have sharper eyesight, and notable better stamina and strength. They are also good at sneaking around unnoticed. Very very good with numbers.
I like how they're good with numbers, that's a cool strength to have. I don't really know where it'd come into play though.Weaknesses: Peppermint, iron, and salt repel/burn them, exposure to sunlight diminishes their eyesight, stamina, and strength, fire and wooden stakes can kill them. Compulsively counts everything (arithromania). Low self-control.
I like that they have a few quirks, like the low self-control and counting things, makes their character unique.Extra Notes: Ryker is apathetic towards gender, his pronouns are he/them, he was born male but is closer to agender now, not that he cares. Vampires in this universe must consume fresh human blood, they cannot substitute it for bagged or animal blood. When vampires are turned they undergo a process in which all of their bones dissolve and re-grow over a 40 day period, this contributes to Ryker's straight teeth and high bone tensile strength (his flesh can bruise and bleed, but it's nearly impossible to break his bones). Ryker has a kitten. It's part of their rehabilitation. They deny having and/or liking the kitten, but they are very protective over it.
I love how Ryker doesn't care about gender. Personally, it seems more likely that you wouldn't care if you were an immortal being, so props to that. I also love how Ryker has a kitten that he loves so much but would never admit it.Constructive Criticism: I think I can honestly say I don't have too much criticism on Ryker.
Intrigue: 90%
