― NAME: Winna Kildare, middle name Cedany
Aww, cute, I love the name Winna.

― PLOT: It is a fairy tale retelling of 'the Brave Little Tailor,' in which the princess does not want to be married to the fraud tailor-turned king, the tailor-king becomes a tyrant, and the princess goes under alias to bring him down and restore peace to the kingdoms, which he has turned in an uproar. The problem? She barely knows how to hold a sword or spear, let alone bring down a tyrant ruler.
This sounds so interesting. I should probably check out the original too.

― BACKGROUND: Winna is the third and youngest child of King Ulfric and the late Queen Thea of Raohar. Shortly after her birth, Queen Thea died after loosing too much blood, and so Winna grew up in more company of nurses and maids than her siblings before her did. She was born in the years where tension and threats were being thrown at every realm, and grew up when they became hostile and war-like to each other, and so Winna was forced to mature quicker than a girl of today would. With many responsibilities thrust upon her shoulders as crown princess, Winna was not the typical monarch you'd read about, floating around the castle waiting for the day when she would be placed in an arranged marriage. She had duties, assisting her brother, Charles, the Prince and future heir to the throne, in surveying the villages and making up the documents with her father that withheld promises and laws that were undoubtedly important, difficult and boring though they were. Her brother liked to teach her to spar in his spare time, although she admittedly wasn't fantastic at it, she was alright. When the war ended, which was when she reached the marriageable age of fifteen, she, to her relief, was not placed in an arranged marriage to some king or prince as a cementing of good terms, but rather her older sister, Marian, was.

Life was as good as it could be in a time with no warm water and electricity, and Winna spent that time growing as a lady, swordswoman and a horsewoman. She even traveled with her family to visit an amicable neighboring kingdom, Carth, where she became acquainted with Prince Robyn, who was three years older than her and quite a ruggedly handsome gentleman. For the first two weeks of their stay, Winna and Robyn butted heads. They were both very proud people, and got on the wrong foot at the start. After awhile however, they began to bond  over many different mutual-interest activities, and it was safe to say Robyn became Winna's first crush in the end of it all. The two exchanged letters when Winna returned to Raohar for a long while. As time went on, and Winna reached the age of eighteen, her brother was sent away on a journey to another distant kingdom. Months went by waiting for him to return, but to the family's shock, he never did. Her brother had contracted a plague and died halfway there. The heir to the throne was dead, and the king was devastated, almost as much as Winna, who had loved him so much. She couldn't practice with a sword with him gone, nor did she want to. Rapidly, the king became weak with old age, and the magical creatures inhabiting the borders of the land were beginning to cause havoc among his people, about which his men nor him could fight or chase out successfully.  And then a mere tailor came forward, claiming he had killed seven with one blow, and certainly he had meant men, so the king was of course interested in this man. And then he killed three giants, and at the king's curious command, a boar and wild unicorn. The king became hopeful that his kingdom wouldn't rot when he died, so he arranged for his last single daughter to marry him and become king of a half the lands of Raohar. And so the story begins.
WOOOAAAHHHHH. I LOVE IT.
