Ooo! I'm so excited to review this already!

― NAME: Elaara Adenot
What a pretty name!

[ELAARA ▸ the name is typically spelled 'Elara,' but I really did like the pronunciation of a drawn out 'a,' and since she is a Narnian I assumed accuracy on a french name didn't really matter. Elara/Elaara is the feminine version of the name Alar, which is connected with horses, blacksmiths, etc. Those two things are highly important to her character, so I find it fitting. ADENOT ▸ This surname is of medieval origins, and derives from a Hebrew word 'adama' or 'earth.' Again, my character is highly connected with forests and animals, so I find it fitting and pretty.]

― PLOT: So the main plot is the same and will merge between things that happen in either or both the books or movies. It will begin at the start of Prince Caspian, go through the Narnian Revolution, the battles afterwards, into Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and then finally the calamity for her that will be the Silver Chair. But her own, smaller plot is a bit different. Elaara's father, who acquired the title 'The Compass Craftsman' after his obsessive hobby of crafting compasses and sundials, disappeared a bit after Elaara's fourth birthday, leaving all the compasses. In particular there is one which always points in the wrong direction, which Elaara assumed to be broken but kept anyway because it was her father's. When the Narnians become free, Elaara will make a journey of her own to find out what happened to her father, and if he is still alive, using the compasses he left her.
This sounds really interesting, I love that you made sure that her own plot was different, and that she wasn't just tagging along for the ride!

[This all sounds very confusing, but I have a big twist for it when it happens, its just very hard to put into words that aren't more than 3 pages worth, if you get my drift.]

― AGE: When the story begins, Elaara is around seventeen years of age.

[I am making her roughly one year younger than both Caspian and Peter.]
That's a pretty good age, in my opinion.

―  RACE: Human, Narnian

― BACKGROUND: Ever since the day Elaara was born, inside the family hut in the beginning of August, she has been an exile. The Shuddering Wood, where the hut is located deep within, proved to be the only sights she would truly get to explore for seventeen years. She was also taught to never be too rowdy and loud as not to raise suspicion amongst the Telmarines who didn't know Narnians hid in the supposedly haunted Wood. After her father disappeared a bit after her fourth birthday, Elaara's mother, Isolde, took both roles of parent very seriously. She taught her child how to defend and fight when she was old enough, and showed her the places of the forest where she could go, and taught her to hunt and scavenge for food in the harsh wilderness, and how to cook it after, and how to swim. It wasn't until around Elaara passed fourteen winters that Isolde let her stray from her sights, knowing her daughter understood the precepts laid down for her and the rest of the Narnians' protection. Around this time, Elaara met her first true friend - a garrulous Talking Horse named Thomas, who allowed her to ride on his back and explore the forests with him. Much of Elaara's life repeats on survival tactics, until the Narnian Revolution begins.
Her background is very nice! To me, though, it's just a tad cliché to be an exile. But due to the Telmarines it's pretty acceptable. So I don't even know why I mentioned that. Forget that haha.

― TALENTS / SKILLS: Elaara is a strong candidate in the archer category, having been instructed in it for eleven years straight via strenuous practices taught by her mother. She is also getting better at wielding knives, considering how uncomfortable she felt when she was younger about close combat. Elaara is very diplomatic, and typically takes slow approaches to things. Elaara is very good at working with animals, especially horses, because she took the time to learn about them. She isn't a horse whisperer, but she is a friend of horses. Elaara is also very nimble, and knows the parts of the forest she was allowed to wander in like the back of her hand.
Hmm, I'm glad she's so strong with weapons, my only complaint would be the archery. Most of the Narnia fanfics I've read have archery as their main skill, due to Susan and all that. But I'm still in love with archery nonetheless.
