The raindrops fell down quickly from the heavy, dark clouds that covered the sky.
The female assassin leaned against one of the tall oak trees that covered the forest. Natalia's body is still sore from running away from the bounty huntress. If she didn't turned invisible on time earlier from the run, the bounty huntress would have surely caught her.
The rain became harder each time a minute passed by. The soil of the forest becoming muddy. Natalia stood up, groaning in frustration as she tried to get the mud that is on her clothes off.
The female assassin looked up to the tree that is in front of her. She leaped up high towards one of the tree's branches, successfully landing on one of the thick branches.
Natalia looked around, but the fog didn't much help see. The female assassin groaned as her stomach grumbles, I must've ran too far from the town, she thought.
Natalia decided to ran to a particular direction, jumping branches after branches, but then bad luck stroke her. Natalia accidentally landed on a withered tree's branch. The female assassin gasped as the withered branch broke, her body falling immediately. Natalia quickly eyed the branch that she is falling towards to, successfully grabbing it with her quick thinking. Luckily for Natalia, she grabbed a thick branch. She panted heavily, using her claws to burrow into the thick branch.Without noticing, she burrowed too deep, thus her claw went through the thick branch, her arm now stuck inside the hole that she burrowed. One of the stupidest decision I've made, Natalia thought as growled slightly.
Running footsteps suddenly arrived in her presence, it became closer and closer until it stopped. Natalia looked down to see who it is, only to be met by the eyes of her knight. "Oh, it's you.." Natalia spoke, quickly looking away from the man. "Your situation tells me that you need help." Tigreal replied, his voice soft. "I don't need anyone's help, I can take care of myself.." Natalia said, denying the fact that she does need his help.
Tigreal sat down on the wet, muddy soil of the forest, he didn't mind the rain pouring down on him. The female assassin turned her head to look at him, her eyes slightly widening a "What are you doing?" Natalia asked, raising an eyebrow. "Waiting for your request of assistance,"
"You don't mind waiting, even if it's currently raining hard?" Natalia glanced at his sight, she knew that Tigreal will eventually catch a cold, she as well. "I don't mind. Even if I have to wait for a thousand years." Tigreal smiled charmingly. Natalia's cheeks a slight tint of red, looking away once again. "That's a stupid action. You should find shelter or a shade to cover you, or else you'll catch a cold.." Natalia suggested.Tigreal's smile widened a bit. "I am grateful for your concern for m-"
"I wasn't concerned!" Natalia suddenly interrupted his sentence, her voice loud and clear. "Then why did you suggest I should find shelter or else I'll catch a cold?" Tigreal questioned.Natalia didn't reply, her cheeks reddening, now visible to Tigreal's blue eyes. "Do you care about me, fair maiden?" Tigreal asked. "Just help me get down here." Natalia dodged his question.
Tigreal didn't mind Natalia dodging his question, for she has requested for his help.
Tigreal pulled out his large sword out of its holder, leaping towards to the nearest thick branch he could find. Tigreal slashed the branch that is trapping Natalia's arm, cutting it into pieces with caution, he didn't want to cut Natalia's arm as well.
Natalia instantly fell once the branch broke into pieces, she let out a gasp. Tigreal quickly fled down, catching her before she could hit the ground. "You are welcome, fair maiden." Tigreal looked down to see Natalia's face, he kindly smiled at her. Natalia turned her head to look away from him, looking at something else instead. "Thank you, Tigreal. Now may you place me down?" She requested. Tigreal's eyes widened, a blush creeping into his face. "U-Uh..Why yes! Of course, fair maiden!" Tigreal quickly, yet gently placed Natalia down. "Call me Natalia. I don't want to be called fair maiden, it sounds like I'm weak."
"Forgive me. For now on, I will never call you fair maiden." Tigreal promised her, his words sincere.Natalia stood up, looking at her clothes. Noticing how soaked wet she is from top to bottom made her groan. "I have some spare clothes for you to wear, my camp is nearby. We should hurry, or else you'll be sick." Tigreal began to walk towards to a specific direction, Natalia following behind his tracks.
The sky began to grow darker. It became harder to see where they are going, the forest becoming dangerous. Natalia listened closely to her surroundings, closing her eyes to focus more, continuing to walk with Tigreal. "There you are." A wispy voice said.
A massive ball of blood fled towards Natalia.
Once the ball of blood came up close. A woman with purple hair and demon wings teleported at the exact spot where the ball of blood was.Alice crackled a laugh, stomping one of her foot to cast her spell blood awe, successfully immobilizing Natalia and Tigreal's body. Alice pulled out a small bottle, opening its cork out, the velvet liquid inside the bottle glowed. Alice quickly made Natalia drink it, instantly making her fall asleep, she then grabbed Natalia's arm tightly, casting another ball of blood towards into the sky. Alice instantly teleported at the spot of her ball of blood, flapping her demon wings.
Tigreal looked up, his eyes widened to see his fair maiden being taken away by a demon. "Alice! No!" He shouted angrily. Alice looked down on him, as if he's an insect. "Sorry, I'll be needing her in the Abyss. Have fun being heart broken." Alice grinned, flying away with Natalia in ease.
Tigreal pulled out his sword, throwing it directly at Alice.
Alice felt something behind her back, she saw the sword quickly flying fast towards her. The sword successfully went through one of her wings. Alice let out a log scream of agony, unable to fly anymore, she and Natalia fell towards to the massive hole below them.
Tigreal ran as fast as he could, as if his life will be over if he didn't catch Natalia before she could enter the Abyss with Alice. At the edge of the hole, Tigreal managed to grab Natalia's hand before she could fall directly into the Abyss. "I-I'll save you!" Tigreal groaned in pain as he tried to pull her up.
Surprise stroke Tigreal as he saw his fair maiden's eyes open, but this isn't Natalia's eyes that he is seeing. "Hello Tigreal." A familiar voice spoke, Vexana.
Tigreal once served her kingdom, that is until it fell into the darkness. "Leave my fair maiden alone!" Tigreal replied, his voice revealing great anger, his blood boiling. "Unfortunately, I need this assassin to help me. Don't worry, your time will come." Vexana made Natalia's face smirk, then made her claw stab his arm deeply until it has hit his bone. Tigreal screamed in pain, unable to hold Natalia's hand any longer.Tigreal let go of her.
