The chilling atmosphere of the Abyss made Layla shiver. She felt like every corner around her are surrounded by staring eyes. The malefic gunner is obviously scared, but she doesn't want to return back empty handed. Clint saved her life and now she must do the same for him.

As the endless storms roared and rained down thunders. Layla walked in stealth, dashing towards behind rocks after rocks. She stayed alert and aware at all times since she has no weapon to protect herself.

The malefic gunner didn't forget to bring her gun, again. That thing is hard to carry and didn't help her at all if she gets put in a scenario where she tries to outrun by a mob of monsters that wants to eat her.

That's when suddenly Layla realized something. If only she didn't panic earlier and had the thoughts of Clint being doomed and all hope is lost. She could have asked Franco if he has anything that could be useful to her or a weapon that isn't as heavy as her gun. Then again, she could have borrowed Clint's pistol.

Layla let out a soft groan, slapping her face by using one of her hands. "God dammit...I'm so dumb...!" She grumbled to herself then let out a sigh. The malefic gunner let herself calm down and begin to concentrate on getting a healing potion.

Loud growls and mysterious noises seemed to surround Layla. She can hear them being far away in the distance while other noises deathly close. Layla hates running away, but if you don't have a chance against something or someone, you are forced to flee. A sign that you cannot fight a being that is stronger than you, and it is logical to run away from them if you are weaker. Like a predator and a prey.

The thought of it felt familiar to Layla. People in her realm Aleficity tend to run away from Malefic Energy because it is stronger than them. A high dose of this wicked energy would send a being going savage and insane, or worse, death. Just like what happened to Layla's father.

Layla slowly stopped her tracks, the memories of her beloved father flashing back into her eyes. She realized that she has forgotten about him for a period of time and the fact that her realm no longer exists in this world. Just like one of the realms that tragically got destroyed by a massive creature.

No...I must not let tragedy interfere me, Layla thought to herself, beginning to walk again towards a direction. She has no clue where she's going. Everything in this realm looks disorienting and destroyed. Layla couldn't find something that looked like a town or village. She could only find creepy looking creatures and terrifying noises that will surely keep her away from sleeping.

She walked and walked, hid from monsters and then ran quickly away from them. Whenever she would glance in the distance, she would always see rocks and more rocks with some flying high up into the air. Layla still holds onto hope, a hope that is slowly dying inside her heart. Layla entered this realm without knowing where the exit is or how to get out, plus without anything to defend herself or an item that can be useful. She thought so quickly and didn't have any second thoughts about it. Layla just wanted to save Clint so badly, she doesn't want to lose anyone again after her father's death.

Layla collapsed to her knees. She felt the cold touch of the rocky ground freeze her skin. Layla ran her hands through her hair, groaning and making disappointed sounds. She isn't going anywhere like this, but she tried to do something. Layla felt like everything she does is useless.

She sat up there with her head hanging that seemed like long minutes until she watched a pinkish petal fly swiftly towards her. A very odd thing to see a flower and beautiful life in this dark realm.

Layla gently grabbed the petal by its tip, observing it. She felt quite happy just by seeing this petal. "How did you get down here?" A female voice suddenly asked the malefic gunner. Layla immediately stood up to her feet, dropping the pink petal.
