Chapter 95 | My Past is none of your Concerns!

When Alpha pushed Karrie off the building. The young Warrior Leader instinctively managed to grab the cyborg by one of his ankles, causing him to fall off the building with her.

"Ah!" Alpha screamed immediately, his scream contrasting against his rather manly appearance.

On the other hand, the Female Yasson did not waste any time. She quickly wrapped an arm around the waist of screaming cyborg and then threw her spinning light wheel towards one of the upcoming level's windows.

When her weapon swiftly broke a window, causing the window's glass to shatter into fragments, she immediately threw herself and the cyborg towards the opening.

Alpha landed first, his body immediately sensing pain in every part of his limbs after hitting the ground with hard force. Unlike Karrie, she didn't have any problems. She tucked and rolled herself upon landing, distributing the pain throughout her body to avoid heavy damage on the lower part of her body. Luckily, the two did not land on any sharp fragments of glass.

"I don't know if you have ulterior motives or not. But at least don't disappoint me for helping you escape." The young Warrior Leader stated, walking over to the cyborg to help him get up.

The missiles that they saw earlier came crashing down to the land of the Alaghat Empire. It's powerful and chaotic explosion causing the earth to violently tremble and create massive crevices as it made countless buildings turn into smithereens and debris.

The Female Yasson did not want to stay any longer. Her anxiety was increasing to the roof while she began to sweat. She did not hesitate to quickly grab the cyborg by the arm, pulling him with her outside of the room they were in.

They took the long way, which is the stairs, because taking the elevator would be risk-taking.

When they arrived at the ground floor, they saw countless Yassons running for their dear lives on the streets, leaving anything behind that would cause them to delay. They seemed to be going towards to safe shelters and centers, but Karrie wasn't going to follow them.

"Karrie, this is my fault isn't?" Alpha suddenly asked, a frown appearing on his face. The Female Yasson turned her head to face the cyborg, giving him a soft look as her eyes locked with his. "What made you think that this is your fault?" She questioned. "I'm very elated that you wish to help me escape, but because of me, you've betrayed your Empress and your kind! Why did you choose to trust me, a stranger?" The cyborg answered and asked the young Warrior Leader, eager to know her reasons as to why she has decided to help him.

"Our Empress is strong and has great power, but she has no mercy nor justice inside her heart and soul. I did admire her when I was just a child, but soon my eyes saw corruption within the Empire and Government. It was all due to the Empress' dark and cruel intentions," Karrie's face turned into an ugly shade, quickly deciding to pull Alpha with her towards an abandoned vehicle. Someone has probably left it due to the sudden attack of outsiders. "If you are weak and crippled, you'll never rise! If you are strong and intelligent you'll be used as a chess piece! You have no freedom of speech here, you are just supposed to be made as they want you to be." She added, her words bitter and cold.

Alpha lowered his head, thinking how cruel one person can be. "That sounds.."

"Awful, terrible? I've always kept a low-profile and swallowed all the insults that the high officials gave to me, never fighting back since I wanted to avoid trouble." Karrie interrupted him, her eyes showing signs of disappointment and sorrow. "Even though I knew, I still continued to look up to her because I had no one to look up to..."

Not wanting to push back the topic any further since it was getting quite personal, the cyborg decided to keep his mouth shut and keep his curious mind at bay.
