Hayabusa. The cherry witch's heart murmured the name softly. Her breathing becoming uneven as her cheeks turned slightly red, slight enough that no one noticed it except for herself. "So, you have something to tell me?" Hayabusa asked her with suspicion. His voice no different from a piercing sword made out of ice stabbing her heart. Red, amber eyes like silent fire showing animosity towards her. But Sakura Miko, even though she was quietly fawning over him. Her eyes showed blankness and no clear sign of adoring the assassin. "You have something that I need." She answered him, her eyes still blank as the darkness. Without even asking the cherry witch again for what she needed from him, he immediately got his answer. Hayabusa got nothing valuable in him except for a scroll that contains a few spells. One of the spells is priceless and must be delivered to a specific guardian in the Land of Dawn, where his target went. He hasn't told Yi-Sun Shin yet and probably will never tell him because he doesn't want the general to search for his target as well. It is his mission and his alone. But right now, this woman was bugging him. He has questions for her, specifically why she the Seimei umbrella is in her possession. Only Kagura can control it since she's the current rightful owner. But this isn't Kagura, it was Sakura Miko. Alive and breathing, and almost looking like a beautiful doll. "I have three questions for you. First, why do you want that spell? And second, why do you have the Seimei umbrella? And lastly," He stopped for a moment to walk cautiously closer to the cherry witch. She can see the hatred and mix of anxiety in his eyes. Sakura Miko can already tell that he's worried about her. "Where is Kagura?" When he spoke her name, it was chilling cold. But it couldn't hide the fact that he was extremely worried about her. He regretted doing his mission first, but he pledge to find her no matter how much it'll take him. "My answer for your first question is: That spell is able to free me. And my answers for your second and last questions are: I do not remember and I do not know who Kagura is." She answered directly as she looked towards to Hayabusa's raging eyes.
Lies, Hayabusa grumbled silently. Even with that innocent voice and facade he can still sense that she's lying. Her breathing was unsteady and she was slightly trembling. As an assassin taught since early childhood, he has this outstanding ability to sense and see people's behavior even in the smallest way. She was the world's most awful liar. And even if she did tell him the truth. Hayabusa will never give her the scroll. " I want her out."
"No! Please. I am forbidden to speak some truth out." Sakura Miko immediately spoke and stood up to her feet. She wasn't leaving until she gets her hands on that scroll and give it to Alice. And hopefully be set free from the wrench. She lifted both of her kimono's sleeves up to reveal amber colored ancient letters carved into her fair skin. "If I reveal my deepest secret to you, and even a hint of it. I will perish." She said shakily, hoping that everyone present in the room will believe her.
Hayabusa felt that she wasn't lying this time, she sound sincere, yet afraid and nervous. His eyes gazed into the ancient language that dimly glowed on her skin. He couldn't understand what it means, but he knows that she has been cursed by someone. "Fine. But answer me this. That Seimei umbrella belongs to the rightful owner, Kagura. Only she can control it, but you can. How?" Hayabusa wanted to interrogate her more. But a guard suddenly entered the room without permission and interrupted the scene with his horrid appearance. Blood splattered on his armor and face. His injuries strange and deep. Not from any beasts that lingered nearby the fortress. It was different and new. He looked like he was about to faint and bleed out, but he didn't. "G-General! A monster has ap-appeared!" He stammered some of his words tiredly. Collapsing both into his weak knees that were nearly covered in horrible scratches. "Take him to the doctor, immediately and alert the others," Yi-Sun Shin ordered three of his guards. Two of those guards carried the poor soldier towards to the doctor while the other one ran outside to alarm the other soldiers. The young general's fiery eyes turned towards Hayabusa, hoping that he'll agree to this upcoming order and to not deny it. "Hayabusa, take Sakura and Natalia to the safest room in this fortress and don't come out unless I call you." Hayabusa grumbled slightly underneath his black mask that covered the lower part of his face.
So, you want me to babysit them? I am not trained for this. His red eyes told him in annoyance.
Stop complaining and do it. Yi-Sun Shin silently replied back before leaving the room with his men. Hayabusa walked over to Natalia. He kneeled down and carried her cold body that was gradually warming up. "Follow me." He said to Sakura Miko before standing up to his feet. Natalia wasn't that heavy, so he carried her in ease towards to the safest room of the fortress while leading the cherry witch.
