"My apologies for disturbing you in the middle of the night. My home suddenly got destroyed and so I went to search for Nana since she is the only being outside my realm that I know and can trust." Diggie did his hardest to sound sincere and act like a pitiful and harmless being-which he is.

Lesley walked pass by him to reach the window and close it shut. The cold breeze no longer rushing inside her bedroom. "Ah, I'm so sorry to hear that. It must be very hard for you," She spoke softly. Going over to her bed to sat down. Her eyes still watching the silently nervous looking owlet. "Unfortunately I cannot trust you yet until Nana says that you truly are one of her associates. I hope you can understand." She added. "It's okay! No being can ever trust a stranger instantly." Diggie said with a smile. Letting himself land on the wooden floor. He yawned afterward.
Lesley smiled faintly. Lifting one of her hands and pointed at a nearby single sofa besides a fireplace. "You can sleep over there. It's comfortable. Or do you perhaps prefer to sleep on a large tree's branch?" She asked in a mild curious tone. "Us Strigiformes or what you commonly call as Mystic Owls do live on a large tree, but we do not sleep or eat on top of a branch like normal owls. We have tree houses that keeps us warm and safe from the hot season and stormy weathers." Diggie answered. Flapping both of his brown, feathery wings to fly over to the sofa until he landed on the cushion top. He sat down and closed his eyes. Letting out a sigh out of his beak. The owlet fell fast asleep before he could even know it.

The female sniper let herself lay down on the soft surface of her bed cushion and wrapped the silky blanket around her body. She closed her eyes and allowed herself to sleep peacefully instead of watching the owlet like a hawk.

Once morning came. The sunlight pierced through the window's translucent glass. Normal birds chirping a melody outside the house. It was another lovely morning for the female sniper until knocks came to disturb her sleep. "Lesley! Wake up!" A childish voice of a young girl called out as she gently continued to knock on the bedroom's door. Lesley let out a soft groan out of her lips. Gathering all her strength to pull herself out of the bed. Her long hair messy and scattered as always. She was at least glad that Nana like to braid and fix bad hair days.

She tiredly walked over to the door as she rubbed one of her eyes. Lesley then grabbed the door's handle by using her free hand and twisted it. Pulling the door forward to open it and looked at Nana. "Good morning, Nana. An associate of yours arrived in the middle of the night..." She greeted, yawning afterward.
"Ooh! Who is it? Akai? I'm so glad he found us during the fall of the City of Scholars. But then he left quickly to kick someone's butt! He said he'll come back after defeating the villains!" Nana spoke excitedly. Probably saying that for the sixth time. A bright and wide smile forming on her face that made her so adorable. Her large, fluffy tail wagging as if it was a tail of a happy dog. "It's an owlet whose name is Diggie." Lesley answered. Allowing the cat elf to enter her bedroom.

Nana's eyes quickly saw Diggie who was still asleep on the sofa. She silently hopped over to him and gently poked his feathers. She has never seen an owl like this before. He must be a Mystic Animal like Akai that only comes from the Realm of Zoonamilia. "He looks cute..." The cat elf let out a soft giggle out of her lips.

Lesley closed the door before walking over to Nana. Placing a hand on one of her shoulders. "Do you know him?" She asked.
"Kinda? I feel like I've seen him before in the past, but at the same time I don't." Nana doubtfully answered. Leaping away when the owlet suddenly shifted in his sleep. Grumbling something underneath his long, striped scarf. "He lied being an associate of yours then. This being is dangerous without a doubt." Lesley's voice instantly turned grim. Quickly running over to her gun that laid against the wooden frame of her bed.

The cat elf let out a low gasp. Running towards to Lesley who was aiming her gun at Diggie. She flipped her gun over before she could shoot him. The gun luckily landed on the cushion of the bed. Lesley's eyes widened from the sudden action that Nana did. She looked at the cat elf who looked extremely upset. "Even if he lied! He must have a good reason. He also looks harmless. If he tries to hurt us, we can stop him." Nana said in a low tone. Her eyes pleading to Lesley to give the owlet some mercy. The female sniper let out a sigh. Patting Nana on the head. Her cat elf friend is too nice for this world. Too nice that it made her quite naive and blind. She wonders if she'll be able to handle being betrayed by a friend.
