The sun raised itself to light away the darkness, its sun rays passing through the large opened windows' curtains, forming streaks of light. Once Yun Zhao woke up from his sleep, he pulled his body up, then rubbed the nape of his neck. He felt tightening arms around his waist, a groaning noise coming from besides him. Zhao looked down to see Miya's arms wrapped around him, not conscious of what she's currently doing. Zhao cannot help himself but to smile and let out a light giggle out of his lips, brushing away the strand of hairs that was covering her exquisite face.

Ju-long entered the bedroom quietly, his son not noticing his presence. He formed a grin on his face, seeing how the two are looking like couples. "What a lovely scene this is. If I remember clearly, you said that this elf maiden is just your friend." Ju-long said, surprising his son by his sudden words. Zhao immediately looked at his father by following his voice. "We are! Just um...She thinks I'm a pillow or something. People do strange things when they're asleep."Zhao obviously tried to make an excuse for this scene, even though he knows that his father won't buy it, but he'll let his son through out of kindness. "Let's have a conversation in the garden for a small bit." Ju-long said, gesturing Zhao to come over to him. Zhao gently grabbed both of Miya's arms, pushing them away and then placed them on the soft surface of the wrinkled sheets of the bed.

Yun Zhao pulled himself out of bed, walking over to his father. Ju-long waited for his son to get close to him before leading him towards to the garden. Zhao recalled the times when his mother was still alive, they would often play around the halls and the garden. A little nice game of tag or hide and seek. Whenever Zhao's father would join the game, he would always win. Zhao would whine after, telling his father that he's too good for the games, so Ju-long would sometimes let himself fail for his son to win. Once they entered the garden, Yun Zhao sat down on the soft grass and plucked a little tulip off the ground, then he looked at the pond nearby him. The pond is full of vibrant colored koi fish. He remembered feeding the fishes with his mother time to time. Zhao would often enjoy it.

Ju-long sat down on the grass besides Yun Zhao, looking at the pond as well. "I was called by one of the Guardians of the Land of Dawn. They told me that the Abyss is growing stronger bit by bit as days pass by. They recently destroyed the Wasteland's capital city and feasted on the flesh of thousands of innocent people. The Guardians of the Land of Dawn told me that I should join them once again to fight off this evil that is causing the unbalance of peace and destruction among the realms." Ju-long said. His tone sounding tired and quite sick. He did not want any more battles, wars, and blood to spill all over the lands, all that he ever wishes is for world peace. But he knows that his wish will never come true, even if the Gods come together to bring evil into an end, there will be evil no matter what. Ju-long lifted one of his arm, patting his Yun Zhao on the back. A smile formed on Ju-long's old, yet still charming face. "I'm glad you came back home, son. I would often worry about you, going out there in the cruel world all by yourself, but now you have a friend, someone who can help you through the darkest and hardest moment that you may encounter in your life. Even if my body turns into a stone and crumbles, I hope till the day I die that you'll find true happiness within the darkness. I hope you can forgive your old father for not being with you often, for those times when you cried when you were missing your mother, and those moments when you felt very envious of other children bonding with their family. I admit that I am not very good at parenting, but I hope that you know that I'll always love you, son." Ju-long said, sounding so emotional and full of regrets. The emotion guilt stabbing and piercing through his heart, even with all these negative feelings pulling him down, Ju-long did not dare shed a tear.

Yun Zhao wrapped his arms around his father for a hug, his grip slowly tightening. He admired his father as long as he can remember. Even if Ju-long was sometimes not there to support or help Zhao when he is in need of him, Zhao still loves his father. "I am grateful to have a father such as you. But father, I hope you do not die." Zhao sadly said at the last part of his sentence, patting his father on the back before pulling himself away to break the hug.

Ju-long let out a tired sigh out of his mouth, then formed a smile. "The realm that is called Eruditio invited me as one of their special guests in their tournament that is being held in the City of Scholars. Would you like to come with your old father? Your elf friend can come along as well." Ju-long suggested, trying to brighten up the mood. Yun Zhao formed a bright smile that his father is very relived to see. "I will gladly come! It has been years since I have visit a place with my father, and I know my friend will be excited to come as well." Zhao said, he sounded like a child that is excited for his Christmas gift. Zhao cannot even remember a time when he went somewhere far with his father, but now he will be able to remember an event.

A tournament that will shatter his heart and mind. An event of which he will never forget.
