Act I | The Swan Princess has Black Feathers

As the sun was setting itself in the horizon, the colors of blue, pale purple, and orange painted the sky to create dusk. The post lights of the streets of Paris beginning to lit up one by one to illuminate away the shadows of the avenues and boulevards.

The main streets and plazas were full of people buying and selling items, sometimes even trading their valuables to get another pricey object. But when the night arrived, the crowded places began to decrease its bustling merchants, peasants and guards for they all saw that twilight was about to come.

Merchants deconstructed their stalls and placed them into their wagons along with their goods, peasants walked back to their safe homes, and some guards were kept on duty to protect the capital's citizens and to prevent crimes being committed any further.

Now, this isn't your modern day era. In fact, it is around the 18th century. No advance technology could be seen nor comfortable clothes that you do not need to stack layers upon layers. Only books, board games, writing, and probably tea parties to buy you some time and keep you occupied.

When quietness and darkness took over the avenues and parts of the city that weren't decently lit up, a music can be heard faintly echoing among the silence of the streets.

The Grand Opera of Paris was opened for the night to showcase a divine evening of swans gracefully dancing like faeries.
Who goes to this kind of place you may ask? Powerful identities to the noblest families, most of them have all gathered to this opera house to watch a beautiful play of a lifetime.

Horses galloped as they pulled up beautiful carriages to the entrance of the opera. Once the horses has arrived, women in fancy and puffed out gowns of vibrant colors walked out one by one in poise. All of these ladies wore elegant necklaces made out of gold and diamonds, and some wore a beautiful hat made out of the finest silk and feathers. In their hands, they either held a feathery fan that went well with their gowns or a pair of opera glasses.

In the other hand, men wore black and white suits with black shoes. If they desire to not look alike, they can wear monocles or a black, top hat.

The staffs of the opera wore casual clothes in order to look decent in front of the noble bloods. They all respectfully welcomed every guests, guiding them inside the opera and then inside the auditorium. The other staff members guided some of the noblewomen and noblemen to the balcony seats of the auditorium for a more grander view.

To the pillars till the walls, nearly everything was made out of glittering gold and is sculpted to the finest designs. Red silk was used for the comfy chairs and for being curtains and carpets. Sparkling lights were in the right places and multiple, large chandeliers made out of glass, silver, and diamond were built in the center of the room.

A woman wearing a gown entirely of black colors walked out of the backstage and towards to the front of the stage. She did a bow and looked towards the audience with a faint smile. "Please wait for a moment, ladies and gentlemen, our ballet dancers are preparing themselves for the show. We thank you for your kind understanding." The woman said before bowing down again and walking back to the backstage.

This woman is in fact the owner of the Grand Opera of Paris and one of the famous ballet dancers of her time.

She calmly walked inside the room where her dancers are. When she saw that some of them weren't finished preparing their shoes, she let out a sigh before commanding them in a strict manner. "Girls! Quickly finish, our most-esteemed guests are waiting!" Her thundering voice stroke fear in some of her ballerinas to make them quickly finish. She watched them hurry like ducks trying to become a graceful swan, it looked rather ridiculous to be honest.
