Diggie was utterly shocked by the sudden question of him probably using black magic. He wouldn't dare use such a thing even if he gets beaten up multiple times. "No! I would never use such a vile existence!" He rushingly answered. But since he spoke with an anxious tone, everyone around him felt doubts instead of believing him.
The scarlet-haired sniper, Lesley, bit her lower lips gently. She began to blame herself for letting this random creature into their house. If she hadn't let him go inside...would Nana still be here with them?
But Nana told her that she knew him, and she would never lie to her. Unless...this random creature that popped into the night used some sort of magic spell that can allow him to add false memories into Nana's brain.
The more Lesley thought about the reasons why, the more questions and desired answers piled up.
She then quietly looked at Gusion, a man who was taught magic at a very young age and once belonged to the Paxley Family. Although she doesn't have solid proof that everything that he told her is truth, she doesn't want a fight to break out to only find out that this man was really from the Paxley Family.
And since he is a magic user and Lesley herself is not, she chose to believe his words for this current situation solely because he has more knowledge in magic.
"Little boy, why do you sound anxious? I'm not gonna hurt you or anything." Gusion spoke in a friendly tone while giving a comforting smile.
"I didn't hurt Nana! How else could I have harmed her if I was knocked out by something?" Diggie remarked clearly without any signs of anxiety that he had earlier.
Everyone inside the room began to doubt Diggie even more and their need of answers were raising to the roofs. All of them began to see Diggie as the culprit, all of them besides Gusion.
This male assassin quickly got a theory constructed inside his head. He imagined that this young, brown-haired boy accidentally stumbled into a part of the forest where black magic dwells and that most likely consumed his mind, allowing darkness to overtake his vessel for a short period of time.
With that being said, Diggie somehow managed to encounter Nana and did something to her before the duration of the darkness' control ran out, then the rest are history.
"I knew you were bad news..." Cyclops suddenly icily spoke, his eye filled with anger. "I don't know how you managed to trick Nana, but you'll pay for this!" A sudden wave of stars and stardust charged towards Diggie.
Out of instinct, the brown-haired boy quickly jumped to his right in order to dodge the attack. Unluckily, he lost his balance afterwards, and so that caused himself to fall and hit the wooden floors.
The young boy groaned in pain, before lifting his head up to look at the angry-looking Mage in front of him.
Cyclops raised his hand, about to attack again when suddenly Harley lowered his raising arm. "Violence won't solve this, and besides, we can't just jump into conclusions. We haven't even seen nor heard of the truth yet!" The magician attempted to convince the star mage besides him.
"He has a point, if you kill the little guy, that won't make you any more better than him. Let's resolve the issue calmly, yes?" Gusion spoke, suggesting a pacifist choice.
Cyclops sighed before glancing for a moment at Diggie. "I'm not done with you yet." He mouthed to the brown-haired boy before storming out of the house, walking towards to the area where Nana was last seen. Naturally, Harley followed him from behind.
