Chapter XXV | The Gem of my Eyes

RubyXAlucard is the most requested ship (I knew it, and the RubyXAlucard shippers keep on coming to attack other ships. xD ) and LolitaXBruno is the second requested ship! (I bet you guys read thessythes's VERY GREAT, MARVELOUS MOBILE LEGENDS FANFIC)
I'm sorry for the other shippers that didn't get their ship as the most requested, but next time it might will! :D

The dark clouds surrounded the sky, the raindrops beginning to fall down heavily as the thunder roared. Alucard's eyes widened at the sight of his beloved friend, Fanny. He felt an immense shock run through his veins, this is his first time tasting bitter regret and guilt. "F-Fanny.." Alucard managed to say, his voice breaking. The yellow haired woman looked up at him, her eyes wide as well, a stream of blood flowing down her pinkish lips. "Alu...card.." After Fanny spoke these words, she slowly closed her eyes and collapsed. Her blood rushing out of her sliced arms, she was quickly losing too much blood. Alucard collapsed to his knees, shaking Fanny in an attempt to wake her up. "F-Fanny?! Come on! Don't joke around!" Alucard cried, holding Fanny's cold body, pulling her close against his chest. "I'm so sorry..." He sobbed, teardrops running down on his cheeks one after another.

The sound of people running fast towards Alucard's direction made him panic, but he couldn't just leave his beloved friend behind. The noises of running footsteps and dashes stopped once they got close, a man walking forwards towards Alucard until he stopped at the sight of Fanny. "What..What did you do?!" A familiar voice said. Alucard instantly identified the voice as James, he sounded immensely upset.

Alucard carefully placed Fanny down and stood up, quickly turning around behind his back to face James. "I-I can explain!" Alucard replied, his voice breaking even more. "You killed Fanny! There's no more explanation than that! Get that monster!" James commanded loudly to his comrades.

Most of the demon hunters fled off the large trees' branches to land on the muddy ground. Their long and sharp weapons pointing at Alucard. "You are no longer a demon hunter, for you are a demon yourself," James said, his voice rough and harsh. Alucard fell to his knees, beginning to cry once again. "No, please! I beg of you! I am not a demon!" Alucard begged desperately for mercy, but he couldn't convince them now.

The demon hunters dashed towards him, swinging their weapons at the fallen demon hunter. Alucard managed to dodge their quick attacks and leaped away into the sky once he had the chance. He landed on a tree's branch, running towards into the forest. Alucard didn't care if he got lost or not, he just needed to get away for now.

Alucard panted heavily after an hour of running away from the demon hunters. The demon hunters that chased him are quick, faster, and stronger than him. It is pure luck that he managed to get away from them.
   The rain stopped, but the forest became darker than wet. A sudden noise of agony that sounded like a scream was heard nearby, it made Alucard jump off the tree branch he was sitting, making him fall and hit the ground hard. Alucard groaned in pain as he held his demon arm, then he glanced at it. "You..You made me kill Fanny..." He grumbled under his breath. Alucard pulled out his sword, placing it above his demon hand to slice it off, but his normal or human arm stopped it. Alucard growled, quickly giving up in the attempt of trying to slice his demon arm off. "Better go to the noise of agony, someone must be in need of help.." Alucard sighed tiredly, standing up.

The fallen demon hunter arrived in front of a large hole that looked like it has no end. He saw a man with golden armor crying heavily on his knees, one of his arms terribly and bleeding heavily. Alucard quickly ran over to the man, helping him stand up. "What happened? Are you okay?" Alucard asked, concerned about the man's injured arm. "I-I lost her...My beloved friend..." The man replied. Alucard bit his lip, hanging his head slightly. "I know how you feel, but we must get to a doctor to treat your wounds.." Alucard tried to comfort him. The man turned his head to face Alucard and then nodded as his answer. "Who's screaming?!" A sudden squeaky, feminine voice yelled. The two jumped a bit, staring at a huge scythe coming towards them, but couldn't see who is holding the weapon. "I am a wolf huntress coming to your rescue!" A girl with a red cute dress with a red hood jumped off the bush to reveal herself. "I am Ruby!" Ruby said with a cheerful, childish tone and smiled rather cutely, a smile that instantly took Alucard's heart. This girl...She's the one that I saw! Alucard said inside his mind. "Oh no! You're hurt!" Ruby went over to the man beside Alucard. She quickly opened her bag and grabbed a bottle of alcohol, bandages, and stitches out of her bag. Ruby began to tend the man's wounds as he groaned in pain. "What's your name mister?" Ruby asked the man. "It's..Tigreal." Tigreal answered through clenched teeth. "Oh no! This wound is too deep! We must get a doctor!" Ruby exclaimed, placing all the items that she grabbed out from earlier back into her bag. Before Ruby could pull Tigreal into the town, Alucard stopped her. "Wait! I have a healing potion." Alucard pulled out a bottle out of his pocket, giving it to the red hooded girl. "Thank you, kind mister!" Ruby smiled brightly, pulling the potion bottle's cork out and then splashing it on Tigreal's wounded arm. The deep wound and pain instantly faded once the potion took effect. "Are you feeling better now?" Ruby asked Tigreal, her sweet soothing voice comforting. "I am, thank you very much!" Tigreal smiled softly. Ruby let out a giggle, returning the smile. "You're welcome!" She said cheerfully then turned her head to face Alucard. "Have we met, mister?"
"Y-Yes! I um..saw you before.." Alucard's cheeks reddened a bit. Ruby closed her eyes and tipped her chin as she made an hmm sound, then she suddenly snapped her fingers. "You're that creepy guy that was staring at me!" Ruby said angrily, backing away a bit from Alucard. "W-What?! No! I wasn't staring! I was just admiring from..afar!" Alucard objected, but it didn't seem to work. "Why?" Ruby questioned, raising an eyebrow. "Because of you..looked cute.." Alucard managed to spit out.

Ruby's eyes widened, her cheeks beginning to grow pinkish. "You think I'm cute?" Ruby stepped a foot closer to Alucard. The fallen demon hunter nodded as his answer. Ruby squeal, hugging Alucard tightly. "Aw! Thank you, mister! That's so sweet of you! Wanna have a cookie?" She opened her bag and pulled out a large chocolate chip cookie that looked very delicious. Alucard smiled, taking the offer. "Thanks!" Once Alucard took a bite of the cookie, he felt a sensation of disgust and deny from his stomach, the cookie tasted horrid. "How's the taste? I've never baked before!" Ruby asked, her eyes shining like crystals. Alucard forced himself to chew and gulp the whole cookie, managing to form a smile. "I-It taste wonderful, Ruby!" Alucard answered, trying hard not to vomit. "Thank you! What about you mister Tigreal? Wanna have a cookie too?" Ruby turned around to face Tigreal, but he just awkwardly made a laugh. "I'm already full, sorry." He denied her offer. "It's okay! Don't wanna make your stomach have a tummy ache." Ruby kept her smile. Alucard felt Tigreal's relief, he glanced at him. God dammit, he's more afraid of a cookie rather than a painful wound! Alucard said inside his mind. "Can I ask you a question, mister?" Ruby asked as she looked at Alucard, curiosity can be seen in her eyes. Alucard looked back, nodding. "What's with your arm? It looks spooky!" Ruby poked Alucard's demon arm, it felt like a hard crystal. "It's..a demon arm. It loses control sometimes and.." Alucard stopped his sentence, looking away to hang his head. Ruby frowned to see him upset, she gently held his demon hand. "Do you hate it?"
"I deeply hate it. This arm...It made me kill my friend, she was like a family to me.." Alucard answered bitterly, tears falling down on his face, the thoughts of Fanny scarred his heart.

Ruby wrapped his arms to hug him. "I lost loved ones too..They were my family. So I know how it feels like, your family being taken away from you right in front of your eyes without saying goodbye," She looked up at him, wiping away his tears away. "Please do not cry now. Everything will be okay!" Ruby smiled softly, her sweet voice trying to cheer him up. Alucard looked at her, returning the smile. He wrapped his arms around her to hug back. "Thank you so much."
"Oh! It's no big deal!" Ruby giggled, pulling herself away. "Do you know what's better than cute?" Alucard asked, staring into her lovely emerald eyes. "What is it?" Ruby smiled curiously.

Alucard pulled Ruby's red hood down, a soft smile forming on his face. "A beautiful gem like you." He said, his voice soft and sweet. Ruby's face slowly turned a light tone of red, she took a step back away from Alucard. "I-I um..Thank you...?" Ruby said awkwardly, not making eye contact with him. Alucard let out a laugh, patting her back. "I was just kidding! I successfully managed to make you blush though." He grinned. Ruby's eyes widened, her jaw slightly dropping. She gently punched Alucard chest. "Meanie! I'll get you for this!"
"I'm sure you will!" Alucard smiled, patting her head.

Meanwhile somewhere deep in the woods.

"Did you managed to get that boy with the demon arm to injure the bounty huntress?" Alice grinned, crossing her legs as she sat down on a thick branch of a tree. "Yes, your loveliness! Fanny has fallen, we took her to the hospital before she could die. Your great plan is working, your loveliness." The hooded man replied, bowing down to Alice. "That's perfect, my dear follower, now did you do your final task? To take Fanny to Eruditio for the scholars to help her get her all machined up?" Alice asked the hooded man, flying down to land on the ground, walking over to the man with a seducing smile. "Yes, your loveliness!" The hooded man answered. Alice chuckled sweetly, kneeling down to tip the hooded man's chin, kissing his forehead. "Thank you for your work, James." Alice's beautiful smile faded into a devious grin.

James felt his heartbeat stop, instantly collapsing to the ground. Blood quickly came pouring out of his mouth as the poison slowly took over his body. "I hope you like your poisonous kiss, foolish man!" Alice hysterically laughed as she walked away.
