"I'm not going to poison you if that's what you're thinking..." Sakura Miko grumbled, her expression telling him that she's displeased with him. "It would be unwise to trust a woman you don't have much info about. I am only given the knowledge that you are a twisted seductress, so it only logical for me to keep my distance with you." Hayabusa replied, his eyes gazing elsewhere to avoid eye contact with her. "Hey! I'm not a twisted seductress! If I am I would be crawling towards you right now!" She raised her voice, her displeased expression changing into a frustrated face.
The Shadow Assassin just scoffed at her, continuing to look away from her appearance. He was just throwing the wooden sticks to fuel her flames without having any second thoughts. "Kagura would be so mad at you for acting like a-" Sakura Miko was instantly pinned down to the ground, making her yelp instead of continuing her sentence. She felt her wrists being gripped tightly, her body laying on the ground in a quite embarrassing pose. But she didn't feel her heart pound for him. For he was glancing at her with two, red eyes that looked murderous. "How do you know her name?" He icily asked, his voice sending shivers down to the cherry witch's spine.
She nervously gulped, beginning to sweat. It's because I am Kagura! She wanted to answer that out loud, but alas her curse forbids her to say not a word of her real identity to the person that she loves the most. "Is it wrong to know some of your descendants' name? I've also heard that the young Shadow of Iga is well fond of Kagura." She argued, receiving a harsh glance full of disbelief from the shadow assassin. "Your heart is racing very quickly, indicating that you're lying," Hayabusa argued back.
"A heart that increases its rate does not necessarily mean that the person is lying. Even if a person is telling the truth, when they're in a stressful matter, it'll just have the same effect." Sakuro Miko defended herself successfully, a sly smile forming on her face as a sign of victory. Thank goodness I quickly thought of something to counter! She thought happily, getting a silent response from Hayabusa. "Well, are you deciding not to get off me? A woman and a man should distance themselves," After saying that, Hayabusa quickly pulled himself away from her. "You don't need to point out the obvious." He grumbled, turning his head to look away.
"Right...Now stand still, I'll close your wound. Don't be such a baby and just trust me!" Sakura Miko replied, pulling her body up to sit on the floor. She placed both of her hands on his wound as she softly mumbled out a healing spell.
Outside of the fortress, where the blizzard continued its storm. The snow that the blizzard produced slowly covered the fallen soldiers that laid bloody dead on the ground. Yi Sun-Shin quickly headed towards to the direction where Hayabusa and Sakura Miko went earlier. He was afraid that the beast is now chasing after the two upon realizing that he couldn't defeat him.
Yi Sun-Shin attempted to follow Hayabusa's trail of blood. But the fog that the blizzard was creating limited the general's vision, making him nearly unable to see his surroundings properly. He just hoped that the shadow assassin didn't get slashed already. Yi Sun-Shin didn't want another talented being to die by that unmerciful beast.
When the general saw the blood trail stop in front of an opened door, he quickly dived inside without any hesitation. Yi Sun-Shin sighed in relief after seeing the two still breathing and moving. "That demon will come back later," Hayabusa said, standing up to his feet after getting healed by the cherry witch. "Do not fret, I had the upper hand when I was having a battle with him. He most likely decided to come after you two since you're injured and the other is a woman. You two should get to a safer location without leaving any trails." Yi Sun-Shin suggested. In the other hand, Sakura Miko made a grumpy and displeased expression on her face as she stood up. Just because I'm a woman doesn't mean I'm weak! Don't forget that I can fight too! She angrily thought as she crossed her arms.
