Karina immediately leaped away from the elven king. She didn't know how she managed to enter the Emerald Woodland or encounter the elven king Estes in person. Her mind slowly got fogged by her confusion at the moment, but eventually, she recalled memories of being with a demon whose name is Alice.

The night elf woman groaned in pain as she forcefully tried to recall some of her memories back, but something is stopping her from doing so. Estes looked at her with concern in his eyes. "It hurts.." Karina breathed, dropping her two long blades to allow her hands to grip her head.

Estes without caution walked over to Karina. He touched her forehead and softly mumbled a spell to decrease the pain that Karina was having. It began to fade after a few moments.

Karina sighed in relief with the pain gone. "You're welcome, night elf.." Estes said, his voice almost completely emotionless. "My apologies, your majesty," Karina immediately kneeled down with one leg as she hung her head, ashamed by the fact that she forgot to thank the elven king. "Do you perhaps know what I was doing here?" The night elf asked. The question made Estes's eyes slightly widen. They were fighting earlier ago and now this night elf doesn't even remember a thing about it, it made him quite intrigued. "Well, you were here to assassinate me. A very terrible first expression I have to say, and luckily the Code of Moonlight was nearby to be able to save me from my death. If it hadn't, you would have successfully killed me, a checkmate." Estes answered her question.

Karina was baffled by Estes's answer, her legs slightly shaking as she stood up. She hasn't attempted an assassination on someone for eons, until now. Did she lose control because she hasn't killed anyone? Is being a night elf a natural killer? Is it impossible for her to do something justice? All these questions made Karina confused more until she slowly shook her head. "I am utterly sorry, your majesty." Karina kneeled down on one leg once again. She is a standout among the other twisted night elf that offers assassinations to other races, she wanted justice instead of evil. "You're one interesting night elf. You're perhaps the first night elf to apologize to a Moon elf, let alone a king," A small smile formed on Estes's face, thinking that this night elf could be a use to him. "I am not able to forgive you, yet."
"Yet?" Karina lifted her head to look at Estes with a confused look. "But I tried to assassinate you, the king of the Moon Elves, do you not feel rage or revenge towards me?"
The night elf asked, wondering why this Moon elf king doesn't want to execute her for attempting an assassination on him. Was he foolish? Blind? Or thinking of something? Whatever it is, Karina could not guess it.

There was a sudden knock on the wooden door. The knock made the hard wooden doors open itself to reveal a beautiful white haired woman with brown eyes, gently holding her bow that looked very mystic and magical. Her kind expression fell into a horrified look once she saw the night elf, Karina. She instantly lifted her bow, an arrow instantly appearing.

Miya aimed her arrow directly at Karina's chest. Once she fired her arrow, the night elf quickly vanished as if she became one with the air itself. Instead of the arrow hitting Karina's chest, the arrow hit the marble ground hard, causing a small crack.

Estes turned around to look at the furious archer. "Miya, calm down. The night elf is just a visitor." He said in a casual tone. Although Miya didn't believe that a random night elf is just here for a visit, she couldn't show her doubt to her majesty, or perhaps the wicked night elf casts a spell upon the king. Miya having the thoughts of the night elf tricking and manipulating her Majesty made her anger boil even more. "Is there a reason behind the night elf visiting?" Miya asked, hiding her anger from the king. Like most Moon elves, they deeply hold a grudge towards the night elves. Night elves are twisted, cruel and mindless killing machines, moon elves are taught not to trust them at any cost.
But King Estes wouldn't let a night elf in his castle nor the kingdom unless he trusts them.
"She's a friend of mine, I didn't want to tell you since you're obviously going to be furious," Estes answered. Miya sighed in slight relief, then formed a small smile on her face. "The son of the dragon is here. He is ready to meet you, your majesty." She did a curtsy after she announced. Estes smiled softly. "That's lovely to hear. Thank you for informing me Miya, you are now dismissed." He said.
"Thank you, your majesty." Miya did a curtsy once again and left. The wooden doors closing automatically.

Karina sighed in relief as Miya left the room, reappearing behind Estes. "Thank you for defending me, although I did not need it." Her tone felt somewhat cold. As Estes turned around, he saw her eyes no longer the color of amethyst, it is now overtaken by a crimson color. Estes felt something wrong, he felt dark magic surrounding the entire room. It is not night elf magic, but instead something familiar. Something that he felt before but could not remember. "Is there something wrong? You aren't responding.." Karina asked worriedly, her face showing concern. Estes shook his head. "I'm fine, don't worry." He finally answered, his face forming a soft smile.

"That's good." Karina grinned rather cheerily, it was quite odd. Make him fall for you. A female voice spoke telepathically to the night elf woman.

Karina could hear a crackling laughter than words. Then kill him, it will be the perfect assassination. Don't you think?
A smile plastered across her face, replacing her grin. She didn't know that she is being controlled by a demon, she also didn't know that she can break it if she trusts her heart than her mind. If her heart is towards someone, she can break this curse that she is in. But will it be easy?
