Chapter 82 | Ice and Blood

"Your Majesty, we couldn't locate Bane anywhere inside the City of Scholars." An armored Blood Demon said to the bloodthirsty woman as they knelt down on one knee, hanging their head down. "Tch, that pirate wannabe probably got his ass kicked and now has gotten himself kidnapped. I've just arrived here and now I have to go find him." Alice complained angrily, rolling her eyes.

When her troops saw her gracefully descending down towards them. They immediately told her that Bane was gone after entering the City of Scholars and that a small group of people has managed to seize his ship! That pirate wannabe is incredibly stupid in Alice's eyes. If he wasn't an ally, he would be laying on the ground dead. "I dislike wasting my energy on such a fool. Go my fellow servants, search for him." She lazily waved her hand at her servants who oddly did not leave.

"Your Majesty, a barrier has been activated inside the City of Scholars and we are unable to go inside. U-Unfortunately only demons who are very powerful are able to go inside...Us lowly servants will freeze instantly upon touching the barrier." One of her armored Blood Demon spoke, stammering one of his words.

Alice raised an eyebrow. A barrier that makes a weak being freeze instantly once touched? Ha! Aurora I didn't think you would come out of your cocoon! She silently said inside her mind, a grin appearing on her face. "Your Majesty, I can go there and search for Bane." A chilling voice of a female suddenly spoke.

A shadowy figure appeared right before Alice's eyes like lightning. She knelt down on one knee, her head hanging as her black colored hood covered half of her face. Black chains coming out of her back, entangling a pair of swords. Her demonic aura suppressing the weakling demons around her. Making them fear her presence.

"I'll leave it to you then , María. Meanwhile I'll let myself feast upon the living." Alice smiled rather sweetly, granting her special servant to go inside the City of Scholars with her.

María stood up to her feet and followed Alice towards to the bombarded wall of the City of Scholars. When they got close, they saw countless of their troops' bodies in ice, their face all showing an expression of terror. "Is Aurora powerful?" María suddenly asked Alice as they both went through the barrier at the same time. The barrier unable to freeze them for they used a counter spell to be able to walk inside the barrier. "Of course she is. Aurora is one of the four Guardians of the Land of Dawn. Her knowledge of ice is most likely endless," The Blood Demon Queen answered with a faint smile on her face. "I advise you to not attack her. Aurora will be able to execute you instantly." She added, very disappointed in seeing the city so deserted.

Those protectors and soldiers really managed to get them all out! But some of the beings might still be here. Alice did not dare lose hope and continued to search for living flesh and fresh blood. Unfortunately she couldn't smell any living beings close by.

Meanwhile inside the Great Dimensions Hall. Aurora easily created a large barrier around the City of Scholars. Giving time for the citizens and other beings to evacuate. Although her Deathly Ice Barrier spell did a great job in instantly freezing the Abyss' troops whenever they would stupidly touch it. Her barrier couldn't freeze those powerful beings who knows how to counter this spell.

Unfortunately for those powerful beings who dares enter her barrier. They won't be able to expect another spell that she is currently using. Poisonous Cold Gas, one of her deadliest spells that only she can cast and control. This cold gas would spread around the city and poison enemies without them expecting it. If absorbed or inhaled, the poison would act immediately. Making one's body slowly turn into ice with an unbearable pain. Aurora can also make the poisonous gas immune to her allies so that they won't share the same fate as their enemies.
