Chapter XXVIII | A Sakura has Fallen

Kagura, the youngest daughter of her family quickly and carefully fled to the sacred place where the Seimei umbrella is located. After hearing her beloved childhood friend, Hayabusa heading towards to the land of dawn to finish a dangerous mission. Kagura can't help herself to go after him, for she can't stop being too worried about him, she couldn't sleep for one day without knowing that he'll be safe or be alive for another day, it made Kagura too anxious, she couldn't let him get hurt nor die, for Hayabusa is her only friend. Once far away from her family's home, Kagura panted heavily from running. The sakura trees surrounded the her, its beautiful pink petals gracefully falling down towards the smooth, soil ground. What a wonderful year to have these sakura trees bloom beautifully. Kagura said inside her mind as she looked at the moon's light shine upon the petals, making them look more ethereal. The stars with the moon twinkling like priceless jewels. Kagura let a small smile form on her face, remembering a memory about Hayabusa. She stopped looking at the scenery after a while, beginning to walk towards to the end of the trees, towards the mountains that blocked her realm from the other realms. She looked at a mountain opening, going inside without hesitating. Kagura is told not to touch the Seimei umbrella until she masters the arts of yin and yang, because if she does not master the arts, it will be passed to another sibling of hers. Now Kagura did not want that to happen, she needs the umbrella to protect everyone she cares about. After stepping onto the soil that is pure, Kagura felt a sign that she has now entered the sacred place. She felt the cold breeze brush away her worries and other negatives feelings, it was like she has been purified. Kagura walked over to the large pond that is at the center of the cave, a large hole on the ceiling to let the moonlight brightened up the room and make the clear waters sparkle and glitter. Kagura kneeled down on her knees, dropping one of her hand into the pond's clear, cold waters. The waters felt like tranquility when she touched it. Kagura took a deep breath for a moment, whispering a secret song that her family made, a song that will make the Seimei umbrella appear in her hands.

The moonlight slowly began to move, swirling towards Kagura's hand that is inside the clear waters. Once close, the moonlight moved around her hand before going inside. Slowly, a purple umbrella appeared in the palms of her hand, she felt souls moving inside the umbrella, perhaps trying to get out.
Kagura gasped quietly in awe, looking at its beautiful design, the yin and yang symbol on the top of the umbrella, sakuras sewed around the symbol. The Seimei umbrella is now in her hands, she will be the only one to be able to control it. But will she? Kagura will have difficulties, for she hasn't mastered the arts. The umbrella can betray her as it wishes, if Kagura is too weak.

Kagura stood up to her feet, quickly running outside of the cave. She looked up to the sky to look at the moon to determined what time it is. Panic instantly stroke her, it was very late. She has no more time left to catch up with Hayabusa, but Kagura decided not to give up.
She threw her umbrella towards a particular direction, quickly teleporting where the umbrella landed, and then using the rasho umbrella technique that will make her flee or leap towards to whatever direction she desires. Kagura ran as fast as she could, her umbrella appearing back in her hands. Kagura almost felt relief once she saw a fast shadow figure running towards to a portal, the only portal that will allow anyone to come visit other realms. "Hayabusa!" Kagura called loudly, successfully catching the shadow figure's attention.

Hayabusa appeared in front of her using his quad shadow, quickly grabbing Kagura's Seimei umbrella. "Kagura, why must you follow me? I know you've heard that I'm leaving this realm to carry out a dangerous mission, but you mustn't follow me. I don't want you tagging along, you have a high possibility that you'll get hurt, and I sincerely don't want you to get hurt." Hayabusa said, placing his free hand on one of the sides of Kagura's shoulder. "I don't want you to get hurt either! I want to protect and defend you! Please, Let me come with you!" Kagura pleaded desperately, wrapping her arms around him tightly, then pulled him close for a hug. Tears began to form on Kagura's face, falling down on her pinkish cheeks. Hayabusa lifted his hand towards her cheeks, wiping her tears away.

"Kagura. You know you're not supposed to touch the Seimei umbrella until you've master the yin yang arts. Father will be very disappointed in you once he founds out." Two sharp, cold voices said in unison, it came from behind. Kagura quickly pulled herself away from Hayabusa, grabbing her Seimei umbrella back. She faced her older sisters, Kimika and Kiyoka, they both wore identical white, plain masks to hide their identity from Hayabusa. "It looks like you're running away, dear younger sister. You have the potential to control this sacred umbrella, but you have tainted it. You must know that there is a punishment for doing such a devilish act." Kiyoka said, making her and Kimika's umbrella appear. Unlike the Seimei umbrella, Kiyoka and Kimika's umbrella are used for training, and is only used for training and important situations, but the Seimei umbrella is much more powerful than any umbrella that is made for battle.

Kagura threw her umbrella behind her two older sisters, casting the Qing Ming umbrella open. A glowing, purple chain automatically linked Kagura to her umbrella. Her sisters' tried to dodge, but their body were being slowed down and damaged at the same time.  Once the spell broke, two umbrellas flew towards Kagura. Before the umbrella could hit her, Kagura teleport behind her sisters' back, using the yin yang overturn to knock back her sisters. Kiyoka and Kimika both groaned in pain as they hit the ground, quickly teleporting to the spot where their umbrella is at. Once again, the sisters threw their umbrella towards Kagura again. Immediately teleporting in front of her once close, then used the ranso umbrella flee, chains instantly linking the sisters to their umbrella. Kagura screamed in pain as the chains hit her, damaging her body immensely. But luckily for Kagura, Hayabusa is there with her.

Hayabusa teleported besides Kagura, quickly picking her up, then teleporting behind the portal with her until his quad shadow run out. "How can you protect me if you can't even protect yourself?" Hayabusa said to Kagura, his voice revealing anger. Kagura let herself frown, hanging her head. "I'm sorry Hayabusa, I-" An umbrella fled towards them, interrupting Kagura's sentence. Kiyoka instantly appeared at the spot where her umbrella landed, Kiyoka quickly kicked Hayabusa's stomach, making him drop Kagura to the ground. Kimika appeared behind Hayabusa and Kagura by using her umbrella, she kicked Hayabusa to the ground, before grabbing Kagura by the collar of her kimono. Kimika changed the portal's realm, the land of dawn into another realm, a dangerous one. Kagura struggled against her sister's grip aggressively. Kimika let out a soft growl, pulling out a dagger, stabbing Kagura deeply into her stomach, then with that, Kagura got pushed into the portal.

Hayabusa groaned in pain, standing up to his feet, his vision quite dazed and blurry. "You can forget about Kagura and carry on with your mission, or search for her until you die. Which one will you pick?" Kiyoka asked, glancing at the shadow of Iga. Hayabusa  didn't say a word, instead he make the portal's realm back to the land of dawn. Then he made one last glance at them, before walking inside the portal.
