#21 You ask your kids a question

The twins were sat across from me and Niall at the table, eating their lunch. They're 4 now and growing up so fast.

Niall and I thought of a plan last night, we were going to ask them what they think marriage is to see if the know.

"Twins, what does it mean to be married?" Niall asked.
"It's when a boy and a girl love each other and they go to a church and get married! They kiss and cuddle and even sleep on the same bed!" Ethan said sounding disgusted and I chuckled.
"I know! I know!" Aaliyah said.
"Your turn then princess" Niall said.
"When you're married you have babies and the mummy she has a big white dress on and looks like a pretty princess! And the daddy has a suit and they kiss in front of everyone and give each other rings! Are you married mummy and daddy?" She said.

"Yeah, me and daddy are married" I said.
"Daddy? Did mummy look like a princess?" Aaliyah asked.
"Can we see your rings?" Ethan asked.

"Yes baby, Mummy had a big white pretty dress , she looked very beautiful and these are our rings" Niall said and we showed them the rings.
"Ooh mummy's is sparkly! Look Aaliyah!" Ethan said.
"It's pretty! Will I have one when I get married?" She asked hopeful.
"Yeah princess, but you won't be getting married for a long time" Niall said.
"Why?" She pouted.
"Because you're too young to get married and you don't have a boyfriend and you're still my little baby like Ethan is still my little baby too" Niall said joking with her.
She crossed her arms and pouted.

"I'm not a baby" she mumbled frowning with her lips pouted and arms crossed.
Niall got up and kissed her lips making her giggle.
"Do we look like babies to you?" Ethan asked sassily.
"We need to not let Lou look after them" Niall mumbled.
"But yes you do look like babies because you're my little babies!" Niall said to them.
"But we don't cry like babies! And we can walk and talk! And we are going to school soon!"
"Oh well! We still think you're our babies" I said and the both frowned.
