Niall's POV

Today, when I went to my mums house while my 3 children, 12 year old Amelia , 3 year old Ethan and 3 year old Aaliyah were at school.
She gave me the news that my great aunt Susan had sadly passed away.
Y/n passed away giving birth to our twins so it's been hard not having her to support me as I was really close to my great aunt , just like Aaliyah was.
I need to tell her but I'm so scared of her reaction, she's going to be broken.

It was 8pm, the twins were in bed and Aaliyah was doing some school work. However, she doesn't really need to do it because I'm probably going to keep her home because of how upset she'll be.

"Aaliyah, princess, can you come down here please?" I asked .

She came downstairs and I led her into the living room where she sat on the sofa and I stood in front of her.

"What is it? Are you okay Dad? You look like you've been crying" she said concerned.
I drew in a shaky breath.
"Princess, Grandma gave me some news today" I said. Her face changed, she knew something bad had happened.
"Great aunt Susan, s-she passed away" I chocked out.

She jumped up from her seat, tears escaping her eyes.
"N-No! You're lying!" She screamed.
"S-she's at her house, s-she's not dead!" She screamed.

I stepped forward and wrapped my arms around her.
She resisted the hug at first but eventually relaxed and cried into my chest.
I kissed her head repeatedly and let my own tears escape.

"I didn't even get to say goodbye or tell her that I love her" She sobbed.
"I know baby, I know, but she knows that we all love her so so much, none of us got to say goodbye because it's a see you later not a goodbye" I whispered.
