#53 Boys will be boys

I was cooking dinner while Niall was in the backyard playing football with our two sons, 7 year old Liam and 5 year old Luke.
Our 1 year old daughter, Aaliyah, was in the high chair playing with some toys as I cooked.

I glanced out the window and watched as Niall played football with our sons. I smiled to myself.

He was purposely being bad at the sport to make Liam and Luke feel better.
"Daddy! You're so bad at this!" Luke said giggling .
"It's because you're old" Liam said.
"Hey!" Niall said playfully punching our sons arm.

Liam turned to Luke and Luke turned to Liam.
They gave each other a smirk and I knew what was going to happen.
Niall was holding the ball looking oblivious.

Liam and Luke instantly charged for Niall, knocking him over.

"Ow" Niall said and laughed loudly along with the boys.
The boys were basically lied on top of Niall.

"Boys! Let your old man breath!" Niall chuckled.
"Umm, how about no!" Liam said.
"Boys will be boys Nialler" I said and he playfully glared at me.
"You're my wife! You're supposed to love me and help me!" He said jokingly.
"I do love you, I just don't think you need much protection from your sons, I doubt your boys are going to do that much" I said.
