#88 Babys time with the grandparents

I had recently had our twins, Ethan and Aaliyah. They were both in the intensive care unit for premature babies as they were born 2 months early.
The birth was dangerous for both me and the twins but there was no way we could do a c-section as we were too far into the labour.
Niall and I are going to go home and get some rest and Niall's parents and maybe his brother will be spending time with the twins as they haven't met them yet, but they do know everything about them.

Mauras pov

"You look exhausted sweetheart, take as long as you need" I told y/n .
She smiled slightly , she looked exhausted where as Niall just looked a little tired.
"Make sure you take care of her. Childbirth isn't a very nice thing to go through" Bobby told Niall.
"I will"

We walked to the two incubators in the room and looked inside them at our grandson and granddaughter.

"They're gorgeous" Bobby whispered and I agreed.
"They look so much like Niall" I whispered mesmerised bu the two beautiful children.

A nurse came in the room.
"You can take them out and hold them if you like, Mr and Mrs Horan told us about how you'd be here" she said as she checked the babies.
We smiled gratefully and she left the room.

I carefully lifted Ethan out of the incubator and sat down with him, being careful of the wires and Bobby did the same with Aaliyah.

"I find it so hard to believe that both our boys have their own children now" I said
"I know it only seems like yesterday we were here so they could be brought into the world" Bobby said and I agreed.
"They've grown up way too fast and I hope that Greg and Niall cherish the time they have with their children because it will go very quick" I said.
"You know though, just like how after Greg had Theo , he visited less often , they same will happen to Niall. He won't be coming around everyday like he did before. Maybe like 2 times a week." Bobby said.
"I know, it's sad to know that I won't have one of my sons around me but they have their own lives and they are now responsible for their baby's and I'd rather have them stay with their kids than them come see us and cause stress on themselves" I said.

"Hello baby! You're finally awake!" I heard Bobby say to Aaliyah.
I glanced over and saw that she was awake.
"Look at those eyes! Just like your daddy's and grandpas!" I said.
"How do you feel about being the only granddaughter!" Bobby said.

Niall's POV

Y/n was Down stairs having something to eat and I was finishing up the nurseries.

We have two separate nurseries for the twins. Ethan's is blue and toy story themed and Aaliyah's is pink and princess themed.
But when the twins come home they will be sleeping in the Moses baskets we have in our bedroom for them.

"Should we go back to the hospital?" I asked y/n and she nodded

We arrived at the hospital and walked up to the rooms where the babies were.
We walked in the rooms and my mum was holding Aaliyah and my dad was holding Ethan.
I smiled at them as well as y/n.

"They're beautiful, We're so proud of you both" My mum said and I smiled.
My mum passed Aaliyah over to me and my dad passed Ethan to y/n.

I smiled down at my baby daughter. I glanced at Ethan and saw that he was now awake which made me smile. The doctors have said the babies will be here for around a month depending on how quick they get healthy
