#147 Christmas tree

Sorry for not updating in a while, I had a writers block and I was getting my other child preference book started . (The other book is about George Smith from a small band called New Hope Club-search then on YouTube)
So I'm sorry and I'll try and update whenever I can! X

Your POV

"Kids, are you ready to go?" Niall yelled upstairs to our 3 children.
They came running down the stairs together.
Our 14 year old daughter, Aaliyah , was wearing some leggings, a jumper and her fluffy coat and scarf. Our 8 year old son, Ethan, was wearing his Adidas tracksuit with his coat.
However, our 2 year old daughter, Amelia, who insisted on getting herself dressed, was wearing a pink dress.

"Amelia, why are you wearing a dress sweetie?" I asked.
"Cos I want to" she said cutely.
"Princess, it's freezing, it's the middle of winter you can't wear a dress" Niall said and picked her up.
"I'll go get her changed" he told me and I nodded.

I got myself and our two children into the car.
Niall came back out with Amelia now in  some leggings, a Christmas jumper , her coat, hat, scarf and gloves.
He fastened her into her car seat before getting in the drivers seat.

"Which tree are we having?" Niall asked the kids.
"I like this one" Ethan said pointing to a reasonable sized one.
"I like that one too" Aaliyah said.
"Let's get it then!" Niall said.

We were now in the living room decorating our Christmas tree.
"Mum, Dad, why the heck do you still have this! I made it when I was like 3" Aaliyah said holding up a bauble she made when she was in nursery.
"So? We always keep stuff you all make. If still got a Father's Day card you made when you were two, it said happy daddy's day on it" Niall told her.
"Really?" Aaliyah laughed and Niall nodded.

"How old was I when I made this one?" Ethan asked holding up a football bauble he had made.
"You were two when you made that" I told him.
"Daddy! Can I put the star on!" Amelia asked excitedly.
"Of course princess" Niall said .
"Is the tree done now apart from the star?" Niall asked and the kids nodded.

Amelia got the star in her hands and Niall picked her up holding her so she could reach and put the star on the tree.
"Is it all done?" Niall asked.
"Yeah" Amelia said and he put her down.

"Now for the big reveal!" He said.
"Ta-da!" He said turning the lights on the tree on so our tree was now lit up.

After decorating the tree we sat watching Christmas films with hot chocolate and sang a few Christmas songs too.
