#78 Your daughter has her first boyfriend

Niall and I's eldest daughter, Aaliyah was now 14. Which meant she was going through puberty and obviously started liking boys.

She told me earlier today that she has her first boyfriend, she told me that she finds it easier to talk to me about these things and that she'd liked the boy for a while .
She also told me to not tell Niall.
But I can't, not tell him, it's his daughter too he deserves to know.

Aaliyah and 7 year old Ethan were upstairs and 2 year old Isabelle was at Mauras spending some time with her.

I was in the kitchen with Niall.
"Guess What!" I said excitedly, happy for my daughter.
"What?" Niall asked looking at me strangely because of how excited I was.
"Aaliyah has a boyfriend! Her first boyfriend!" I squeeled.

Niall's face dropped.
"What?!" He asked surprised.
"She has boyfriend! It's the boy she's liked for a while" I told him.
"No! No! No! My little princess is not dating ands she certainly isn't 'liking' anyone!" He said.
I chuckled, I knew he was kidding about not letting her date but I know he didn't like the fact that she was growing up and he wouldn't be the only boy she liked anymore as boys aren't disgusting to her anymore.

"Face it lovely, your little baby girl is growing up which means boys will come in and out of her life! She will find boys attractive and boys will find her attractive!" I said chuckling.
He pouted and crossed his arms.
"Now I know how my mum felt when I told her I was dating you" He said.
I giggled.
"Well Aaliyah and Daniel could be for keeps, They're 14 and we were 13" I said.
"Maybe" he mumbled.

Aaliyah came downstairs into the kitchen and smiled at both of us.
I smiled back but Niall asked her a question.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" He asked quickly.
"You told him?!" Aaliyah asked angrily.
"He's your dad, you can't keep it from him forever" I told her.
"It's okay love, I'm glad she told me, but whatever you do, do not kiss him! Do not snog him ! Do my do anything sexual with him! And do not let him treat you badly" Niall told her and she nodded going red.

Niall narrowed his eyes at her.
"Have you kissed him?" He asked smirking slightly.
"No..." Aaliyah said quietly blushing even more.
Niall's smirk grew.
"You definitely have! I know when my baby's lying" he said.

"Niall, stop embarrassing her" I told him and he chuckled pulling her into his arms.
"I'm not the happiest about you dating but I can't stop it, just don't let him treat you badly"

Aaliyah has gone back upstairs , she was face timing Daniel, Ethan was in the living room watching cartoons with Isabelle.

I was sat on the sofa next to Ethan and Niall was next to Isabelle.
Niall was staring at the floor, deep in thought.

"Niall can I talk to you in the kitchen?" I asked and he nodded getting up as we walked into the kitchen.

"What's up? I can tell something's wrong" I said.
He sighed sadly.
"I-it's Just , Aaliyah's growing up now, she's a teenager, has a boyfriend and everything, I'm just worried that she'll not want to spend time with me anymore, I just don't like the fact that she's growing up and becoming more independent . She doesn't really need me anymore" he said sadly.
"Aww Nialler" I cooed as I pulled him into a hug.
"She doesn't even call me daddy anymore, it's just Dad, which makes me sound old" he chuckled.
"Aaliyah's always going to need you, every girl needs their dad" I told him as we pulled away from the hug.
Aaliyah entered the kitchen and smiled softly at us.

"Aaliyah please tell your dad that just because you're growing up and have a boyfriend you'll still spend time with him and you'll still need him all the time" I said.
She looked at me confused but she turned to Niall hugging him.

"I'll always need and spend time with you daddy, you'll always be my number one no matter what happens, I love you" She said.
"I love you too princess" Niall said kissing her cheek as they pulled away from the hug.
"Speaking of spending time with  each other, Nando's?" Aaliyah said.
Niall high fives her and o rolled my eyes chuckling slightly.
"Like father, like daughter, you're so alike it's unreal!" I said.
