Today, mine and Niall's children are coming over with their families.
We can never get together fully because of jobs and school so its a special occasion for us.

There was a knock at the door.
Niall and I stood up and answered it, we were met with our 29 year old daughter , Grace, her husband, Olly and her 4 year old twins, Leah and Isaac.

"Mum! Dad!" She said happily and hugged us.
"It's so nice to see you" I said and kissed her cheek.
"I missed you princess" Niall said as he hugged her and kissed her cheek.
"It's good to see you Olly" I said hugging my son-in law.
Niall also hugged him.

"I hope you've been good for mummy and daddy!" I said as I hugged two of my grandchildren.
"We have!" Isaac said.
"We've been really really good!" Leah added as they hugged Niall.

The reunion was in full swing. Our 27 year old twins, Liam and Luke were here.

Liam was here with his wife, Ella and his 5 year old son, James and Luke was here with his wife, Lillie and his 9 month old daughter, Mia.

"Grandpa! Daddy, Uncle Olly And uncle Lukey, come play football with me Isaac!" James yelled.
Niall , Luke , Olly and Liam obliged and stood up going to play football.

I was sat around the table with Grace, Ella , Lillie, I had Mia on my lap and Leah was on Graces lap.

"It's so nice to have the whole family around again" I said and the girls agreed.
"Mum? How long have you and Dad been together?" Grace asked.
"36 years, married for 30 years" I told her.
"That's a long time! How do you put up with Dad!" She joked.
"I got used to his bad habits" I joked.

"Y/n do you wanna give her a bottle? She looks like she's a little hungry" Lillie asked.
"Oh yes, do you have one with you?" I asked and she nodded giving me the bottle.
I started feeding my granddaughter the warm milk which she happily drank.

Once she finished I burped her and played with her for a bit.

"Leah, I heard you and Isaac started school" I said to my eldest granddaughter.
"Yeah! I made lots of new friends!" She said.
"Really? Any boyfriends yet?" I asked her.
"Eww no! Boys are disgusting apart from my daddy and uncles and grandpa and my cousins" she said and I chuckled.
"At least Olly doesn't have to worry about her dating" Ella said and we all laughed.
"I remember being like 14 and I had got my first boyfriend , I told mum and she told my dad and he literally freaked, he was so protective over me" Grace told Ella.

"Why do you look so miserable princess!" Niall said as Liam picked Leah up and Niall tickled her.
"S-stop!" She giggled.
"Why you so sad? Tell us" Liam said.
"Because there's no girls to play with! Just boys!" She whined.
"Well how about I go and get some of Grandmas makeup and you can do my makeup for me?" Niall suggested.
"Yes! I can make you look like a pretty princess!" She said excitedly.

Leah was now doing Niall's makeup and the boys were still playing football and Mia was now asleep on me.
"She looks peaceful" Niall said gesturing to Mia.
"Cause she loved me" I said and stuck my tongue out at him.
He did the same back.
"Not more than me" He said.

"Grandpa stop moving! I'm trying to do your lipstick! You don't want iron your teeth do you!" Leah ordered.

"All done!" Leah said.
"Love the Look Niall" Ella said.
"It's very colourful" Lillie added.
"You actually look like a clown, I am just thinking of penny wise when I look at you" Grace said.
"Let's hope this washes off later!"
