#160 Telling your child you are pregnant

"How do you think he will take it?" I asked Niall as we watched our 3 year old son, Luke playing with some toys in Mauras living room.
We were going to tell him when Maura is in the room so she'll find out too. She's been asking us a lot recently about another grandchild.
"Good until he finds out it's a girl" Niall said quietly.

We both entered the room,Maura was sat on the sofa so the plan would work.

Niall and I sat down on the sofa.
"C'mere Lukey" Niall said using the nickname we have for Luke.
"Why daddy?" Luke asked walking to Niall.
Niall picked him up sitting him on his knee so that he was facing me.
"Well me and Mummy have something very important to tell you" Niall said.
"Have you got me a new toy!?" Luke asked getting excited.
"No, it's something better" Niall laughed.
"What is it?" Luke asked excitedly.
"You're going to have a baby sister!" I told him happily.

He looked at me and burst out crying.
"I no want a baby sister!" He cried.
Niall chuckled and hugged Luke and calmed him down quickly.

"You're pregnant?" Maura asked me.
I nodded smiling.
"Oh my gosh! I'm getting a granddaughter!" She cheered and hugged me.
Luke was playing with his toys on the floor again.
"Congratulations!" She said and then hugged Niall.
"Thanks mum" Niall said.
"Oh I can't wait! She's going to be such a cutie!" Maura said happily.

"Time to announce it to the world" Niall said and I nodded .

@NiallOfficial: I am incredible happy to share this fantastic news with you guys. In around 6 months time y/n and I will be parents of two. That's right, there is another baby Horan on its way. We can't wait to meet HER and I'm sure Luke will be a great big brother!
