#142 School chnages your child

Your POV

I arrived home with my 4 year old daughter, Aaliyah. She had been awfully quiet.

I put her stuff down and went into the living room were Niall was sat on the sofa with our 9 month old son, Ethan, on his lap.

"Princess, can daddy have a kiss? I've missed you today" Niall said as our daughter entered the room.
Aaliyah looked at Niall but hesitantly shook her head.

Niall looked at me confused, Aaliyah never reuses our kisses, she loves the attention.
"She didn't let me kiss her either" I mouthed.

"Why not?" Niall asked her.
She just shrugged.
"There must be a reason, you let me and mummy kiss you yesterday" Niall said .
"Look, even Ethan doesn't mind our kisses!" Niall said lifting our son and kissing his lips (non sexual) making Ethan giggle.

"Has someone at school said something?" I asked her.
"Some other kids were asking me why I kiss my mummy and daddy on the lips when you bring me to school, and I tried to ignore them but they said I shouldn't because it disgusting" She explained quietly.

I looked at Niall concerned. School had already started to change her.

"Don't listen to them, okay? When I was your age I kissed my mummy and daddy on the lips. And when Mummy was your age she kissed her mummy and daddy on the lips" Niall said.
"Otay" She said.
"So can daddy have a kiss now?" Niall asked and Aaliyah nodded smiling.
She stood up and pecked Niall's lips.

Niall and I were in the kitchen talking.
Ethan was in Niall's arms and Aaliyah was occupied watching cartoons.

"Do you think we should change her school?" I asked Niall.
"That school has changed her so much" I added.
"I don't know but she has changed, she's way more quieter than she used to be, she doesn't want us to kiss her anymore, she's always upset about something when she comes home" Niall said.
"Well, on Monday, we can take her into school and tell her teacher that she will be changing schools and then why she is at school we can find another school for her and register her there" I planned.
"We can do that then, better than having our daughter changing" he said.
