"Why!? Why can't I go to the party! Why can't I wear makeup! Why can't I be a normal 14 year old!" Aaliyah screamed at Niall.
Why all this was going on I had put my 8 year old son, Ethan to bed and I was putting my 2 year old daughter, Amelia to bed.

"Because I said so! I'm the adult, I'm the one in charge! If I say you aren't going to a party then you're not! If I say you can't wear makeup then you can't! I don't care what you say young lady but you are not going to a party where there will be drugs and alcohol! What excuse of a parent would I be if I let you go out drinking and taking drugs!" Niall yelled.
I entered the room , my two youngest children now asleep peacefully.
Aaliyah glared at him.
"Honestly! I hate you so much! I wish you weren't my dad!" She screamed before leaving the room and slamming the door.

I saw it in Niall's face that it felt like he'd been stabbed in the heart.
His gaze lowered to the floor and he sat on the sofa putting his head in his hands. He loved Aaliyah so much and for her to say that killed him. They are always joint by the hip, doing everything together but recently things have changed.

I sat down next to my upset husband and rubbed his back.
"Nialler, I'm sure she didn't mean it"  I said softly.
Niall raised his head and looked at me, he had tears in his eyes and a few running down his face. Her words really did hurt.

"If she didn't mean it she wouldn't have said it" he whispered letting more tears escape his eyes.

I then noticed our eldest daughter stood in the doorway with tears in her eyes as she watched.
I could see it on her face that she regrets what she said.

I gestured for her to come over.
I stood up and left the room leaving them both to talk.

Niall's POV

I felt Aaliyah Sit next to me.
"I'm so sorry daddy" she whispered.
"I didn't mean it, I promise, I don't hate you" she said.

I looked up at her.
"What you said really hurt" I said.
"I know but I'm sorry, I love you so much Dad, I don't hate you and I'm glad to have you as my dad" she whispered and rested her head on my shoulder.
"I love you too princess, more than you could ever imagine" I whispered and kissed her cheek
