#3 Time with his mum

I was in the hospital, I gave birth to our daughter, Aaliyah, yesterday. However, she was born a month early so she has to stay in for a while to make sure she's okay and I have to stay in too since the birth took a lot of energy.
Niall had gone home for a while to finish the nursery since we wasn't expecting her to come yet so it wasn't finished.
Maura was in the room with me right now.

"Do you want me to go so you can get some rest?" She asked cradling mine and Niall's first child.
I shook my head.
"No, I enjoy your company and I know you want to spend time with her" I said gesturing to the baby in her arms.
She smiled and sat on the chair next to the bed.

"Finally, a girl in the family" She said and I chuckled looking down at my adorable baby.
"She looks so much like Niall, it's scary" I said and she agreed. The baby had all of Niall's features apart from his nose, she has my nose.

"How was Niall during the whole process?" She asked as she cradled the now awake baby.

"He was okay, he was complaining about how I was going to end up breaking his hand so I told him to deal with it" I said.
"But he was very encouraging, he cut the cord and got her dressed and everything like that, he also held her first and started crying" I explained and chuckled.
"He always was an emotional person from being little a lot different to Greg" she said and I nodded.

The hospital room door opened and Niall came in. He closed the door behind him and then noticed his mum was here.

"Mum!" He said happily.
Maura passed the baby to me and stood up to hug Niall.

"I missed you, why didn't you say you were coming?" He asked.
"I thought I'd surprise you all, in very proud of you Nialler" she said and Niall smiled.

Niall came to me and took our little baby girl out of my arms. He sat down in the chair with her and stared at her and she stared at him.

"Hello my beautiful little princess" Niall murmured to the baby , pressing his lips to her forehead.
"I love you" he whispered to her.
