Phil logged onto his secret wattpad account, where he wrote phanfiction. He had a oneshot book and one ongoing phanfiction. The phanfiction was starting to blow up recently, and he got notifications all the time from people voting on his chapters or commenting on them.
He checked his notifications, noticing he had quite a few, which managed to make him smile. Any guilt he had about writing fanfiction about him and his best friend evaporated when he realized other people believed in it too. Other people wanted to read it.
While he does get notifications due to his story, and a few fans of it who normally comment things like "OMG YES YOU UPDATED!!!" "UGH YES, I'VE BEEN WAITING <333" and other things, he never gets direct messages. Phil always figured they either didn't care enough or were too scared to. But he had a message this time.
It was from a person with the username totallyaphangirl. Phil really appreciated their message.
totallyaphangirl: hey, i just wanted to say thank you for writing A Person To Love (A Phanfiction) it's been written very well, and i really like how you write the boys. a lot of authors tend to exaggerate their personalities, so it's refreshing to see someone who doesn't make it seem so unrealistic. props to you.
Phil began to type his reply, before noticing there was another message.
totallyaphangirl: but the ending to chapter thirteen pissed me off omg. i can't believe dan jumped to conclusions like that. with how he presents himself like a logical person, you'd think he'd think it through, right? i guess that's a criticism, but i still like what i'm reading regardless.
phanislife2009: hey, thanks for the support to the story! i see that issue with the characterization a lot, and i guess when writing it i've been more considerate :p
phanislife2009: as for chapter thirteen, yes, dan is acting irrational. he is human. he saw something, and jumped to conclusions. but here's something to consider while i work on writing chapter fourteen: the chapter's in phil's point of view, and he doesn't know what dan's thinking unless he literally says it. dan reacted strongly to it, and of course phil does not understand why, and it has to come across in the writing as well. thank you for telling me how you felt about it though, i love connecting with my readers and seeing how they feel.
totallyaphangirl: oh my god, you replied! i don't know why, but even though these authors on wattpad are in the same boat as me, i feel like they wouldn't talk to me, for whatever reason. they're unapproachable.
phanislife2009: haha, yeah i get that. i wish more reached out though; i don't mind anyone's messages.
totallyaphangirl: that's so nice of you. also, can i ask you something?
phanislife2009: sure!
totallyaphangirl: is A Person To Love (or APTL, as I call it in my head) going to end well? i feel like there's so many points of foreshadowing and it's worrying me.
phanislife2009: i don't know.. i guess you'll have to keep reading ;) (Also I think it's cute you have an acronym for the story)
totallyaphangirl: you motherfucker.
phanislife2009: bad word. you're banned.
totallyaphangirl: RIP.
