Dan was alone in the hospital room. He was sick of seeing white walls for a month but he was scared to face the world again. What would he tell his fans? How could he ever go back?

It was exactly one month ago since that faithful day. The day a car crash took Phil's life. Dan remembered the blaring lights and the calm blue sky above him as he was lifted into the ambulance. Lastly and worst of all... he remembered Phil. Broken and bloody on the side of the road. He remembered screaming his name but not hearing his own voice.

Phil had died before he reached the hospital and it was Dan's fault. At least that's what he believed. They were hit by a drunk driver causing the car to flip and crash into a tree.

Dan had been in a coma for a month now and just woke up yesterday. He wished he hadn't. Now, he has to face the real world once again. He wasn't ready to live his life again.

The doctors were in and out of the room checking on Dan and making sure his vitals were fine. It was time for him to be released. He signed everything he needed and was let out. He walked home as he had no car and was far too scared to drive one.

He stopped in front of the door to their house, his key hovering over the doorknob. He shakily unlocked the door, walking inside. His heart was pounding as he stepped inside the house. Nothing had changed but it felt colder without Phil. The bright colors hurt Dan's eyes. He went straight to his room and shut the door. He collapsed on his bed and cried, letting out all the emotions he had built up in the hospital room.

"I want to be there so you don't have to be brave... in this cold world of hate, only your arms feel safe. But you're gone... and I'm alone... please come back." Tears poured down his face as he muttered to himself.

He didn't want to live without Phil, his one and only. And he's gone. Dan stood up, still crying. He grabbed the emergency pistol from under his mattress and aimed the gun. A loud gunshot echoed through the house as Dan's body crumpled to the floor.

Dan was once again with Phil. Their fingers were intertwined as they stepped through the gates.

This truly had been the most fun they ever had.
