Power Of Love

I saw that the heart monitor's line was flat. My heart dropped.

My girlfriend is officially dead.

Allison was sobbing and throwing the things in the emergency room.

"HAYLEY!" I shouted and ran to her bed.

I sat next to her and pressed her back on my chest. I hugged her from behind.

Her family stood beside her bed while I hug her.

Tears streamed down on my face. Hayley's lifeless body was so cold against my chest.

"BABY PLEASE WAKE UP!" I begged and cried.

"HAYLEY, NO! LISTEN TO ME, BABY! C'MON!" I shouted and shook her body.

"She's gone, Robert." Taylor said and weeped.

"NO SHE'S NOT!" I shouted.

"Listen to me, baby. Follow my breathing. C'mon! Follow me." I talked to Hayley and breathed heavily.

I pressed her back harder on my chest in order for her to follow and feel my breathing.

"C'MON, HAYLEY! BREATHE! FOLLOW ME!" I ordered again and breathed heavily.

"Robert it's no use. Stark's dead." Archie explained and tried to pull Hayley away from me.

"NO! SHE'S NOT DEAD!" I argued.

My tears kept on pouring. I don't want to feel hopeless. I know that Hayley's alive, I can revive her.

Th heart monitor's line didn't change. It was still flat.

I was so tired and weak but I don't want to give up. I can make her heartbeat start again.

"C'mon, baby. Follow my lead. I'll breathe and you'll follow me." I ordered and continued to take heavy breaths.

"Robert, it's no use. She's dead now." Eric explained while crying.

"You have to accept that she's gone now, Robert." Owens said.

"Stark would hate to see you grieving, Robert." Lauren comforted.

"Do what she wants you to do, Rob. Move on and find another woman." Taylor said and kissed Hayley's forehead.

"I ONLY LIKE HER!" I shouted and continued to breathe heavily.

I hugged her tighter and positioned her back on my chest. I rested my head on her shoulder.

"C'mon, baby. Don't give up. Just follow me." I weeped and breathed heavily again.

"We'll take her body in the morgue if you're ready." A doctor said to me.

"NO! SHE'S STILL ALIVE!" I argued.

"Robert, just accept it." Brooky said with watery eyes.

"I CAN REVIVE HER!" I shouted.

I pressed Hayley's back harder again on my chest.

All of them are looking at me worriedly. I don't want to believe that Hayley's dead. I know that she is still alive.

"Baby please follow me. C'mon." I begged while tearing up.

I kept on breathing and breathing but the heart monitor's line was still flat.

"The doctors need to take her body to the morgue now, Rob." Allison said looking at Hayley's corpse.

"NO. YOU HAVE TO GIVE HER MORE TIME!" I shouted again.

"Do you feel my breathing, baby? C'mon, follow it! Just breathe!" I ordered to Hayley again.

I kept on taking huge breaths.

"Whenever your ready." A doctor talked to me again and walked outside.

"I'll go tell the media." Eric said in a hopeless tone.

I don't want to feel hopeless. I believe that Hayley is still here. We still have to fulfill our dreams together.

"C'mon baby. Don't leave me. Devon just gave me to you, right? Then breathe." I sobbed and breathed again.

All of them are looking at Hayley now. Owens stepped forward and kissed Hayley's forehead.

"Hiring you was the best choice that i've ever made. You saved and changed a lot of people's lives, Knight. I'm proud to say that i'm always at your service." Owens said.

The twins stepped forward too.

"We never had the chance to show our love to you. Guess, we'll just see you again in paradise." Lance said to Hayley. He was tearing up.

"You are the best person ever. Au revoir, sister. Send my hugs to mom." Shawn said kissed Hayley's hand.

Brroky and Eric stepped forward too.

"If you didn't rescue me on that alley, my life wouldn't be like this right now. I owe everything to you. Thank you so much." Eric said and kissed her forehead.

"You're in a better place now. And I know that you'll take care of my wife and daughter there. Thank you for everything that you've done for me." Brooky said and kissed her forehead too.

The four also stepped forward.

All of them held each other's hand including Hayley's. They circled the bed.

"Our bond will never be the same without you, Stark." Lauren said.

"Guess, the people won't call us The Big Five anymore." Allison said.

"Just promise us that you'll still show yourself, okay?" Archie said.

"I wish that i've said this to you a million times. I hate to admit it, but you deserve to know that I love you so much, Stark. You are my best bud." Taylor said and a tear fell on her eye again.

"We love you so much." Allison, Archie and Lauren said.

They all kissed Hayley's forehead and saluted her.

"Until we meet again." Archie said.

I hugged Hayley tighter. I don't want to say my goodbyes. She is not dead. She will never leave me.

"I don't want to believe that you're dead. The world knows how much I love you, baby." I weeped and kissed her temple.

I rested my chin on her shoulder and kept on breathing heavily. I don't want to let her go.

Then a miracle happened.

The heart monitor beeped again. I was so surprised and shocked. I looked at it and it really was beeping again.

I look at Hayley surprisingly. Her eyes are still closed.

"OH MY GOD! YOU FOLLOWED ME! C'MON, BEAUTIFUL! JUST KEEP BREATHING!" I mouthed happily and kept on kissing her.

All of them looked back at Hayley and their mouths opened. They ran to Hayley's bed. Even the doctors can't believe what they've just witnessed. It was a miracle.

"YES! C'MON, STARK! JUST FOLLOW ROBERT'S BREATHING!" Eric mouthed and jumped for joy.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! YOU'RE ALIVE! ROBERT WAS RIGHT!" The twins said and also jumped.

"DON'T STOP FOLLOWING ROBERT, STARK! C'MON!" The four chanted.

"Thank you for following me, baby. You didn't apply stubbornness this time. Thank you so much! Just keep on breathing! I love you so much!" I said happily and kissed her continuously.

Hayley's still not moving but all of us are so relieved that she was breathing again. Her eyes are still shut.

"EUREKA! THIS IS A MIRACLE!" A doctor said.

I looked at the doctor and mouthed.

"It's the power of love."
