First Anniversary

Both of the Sherlock Holmes and Wonders of the Past shooting were finished.

Robert and I invited Andy along to play with us in my house. I wore the bracelet that he gave me every time.

Robert was in his shooting for Iron Man 2 and things became as usual for me.

I was seating in my office again with my feet on the desk. I scribbled through the numerous papers.

Robert and I barely see each other right now. Because I have loads of work to do and he's shooting. Our time is quite limited.

Someone knocked and it was Eric.

"The meeting's starting now, Stark." Eric reminded and shut the door.

I groaned and stacked the papers neatly. I put on a blazer because I was only wearing a shirt. Honestly, being a CEO is really a tiring work. Supervising, problems and head aches all the time. I miss Robert. The last time I saw him was two days ago.

I walked outside and went to the conference room. Twelve chief members were already seated and I walked in front.

"Things are still the same. Jenkins Industries still can't compete with us." I said.

"Well, our toys are very high-quality and well-made so I don't see a reason for Jenkins to outsmart us." Clark said.

"But let's not be over confident. The Prime Minister of London just contacted me yesterday. Said he wants me to export our toys to them." I said and projected a picture in front of us.

I showed them the new designs that I will develop.

"I just made the prototype of this one two days ago and-" I said but the projector went haywire.

"What's going on?" I asked and looked at the monitor.

The instrumental River Flows In You by Yiruma started to play out of nowhere.

"Hey. Can someone turned the music down? We're having a meeting." I ordered to my earpiece.

Then the projector suddenly showed Robert and I's stolen picture in Paris. When we first met.

"365 days of love, fun and laughter." Robert narrated as the pictures went on.

The picture changed and it now showed a picture of us back in New York. Then I realized that it was a slideshow. I stood there dumbfounded while looking at the projector.

"A year full of happiness and joy. Problems came in our way but we never showed fear. Our love keeps on getting stronger as days went by..." Robert narrated again.

My board members looked at me with warm smiles on their faces. I was so surprised. I was so busy and stressed that I forgot that it's our first anniversary.

"My boring and colorless life changed 365 days ago. You gave color to my life and gave me a reason to do good. It's been a wonderful journey with you. God gave me the most perfect woman. Through obstacles and hurdles that will come in our way, I vow to never give up on you and love you with all my heart and soul..." Robert's voice was full of life.

I hid the tears that was about to drop.

The song continued to go on as Robert spoke. It's been a year. I never knew that our relationship was so lively. The pictures made me smile because I love reminiscing the old memories with Robert.

My board members all stood up and handed me a red rose each. The roses were hidden under the conference table so I didn't notice them a while ago.

"Twelve roses for twelve months of our endless love...." Robert narrated again.

I let the tears flow down and looked at the twelve roses. All of them smiled and formed a pathway to the door.

"Outside lies a path that shows 365 reasons why I love you." Robert said out of nowhere again.

I walked outside slowly and saw a little pink note on the floor that said 'Your mesmerizing eyes never fails to amaze me.' I walked again and another note was on the floor again. It said 'Your morning look always makes me smile."

My people looked at me happily while I read and picked all of them.

The trail of notes continued. I followed all of it. The notes contains:

"Your sweet scent that I love so much"

"The way your lips touches mine"

"Your passion for your work"

"The way you say 'I love you, Robbie'"

"Our kisses sends ripples through my heart and sent fireworks in my stomach'

"I love the way you look when you're jealous"

"The way you complain every time I wake you up early"

The trail went on until it led me to the elevator. I saw Jimmy inside it and gave me a warm smile as I entered. He pressed the ground floor button. The elevator dinged opened and the trail of notes continued again. The song went on.

It led me outside and I saw Robert holding a bouquet of red roses. Battalion of fans are all behind him holding a banner that says 'Happy 1st Anniversary, my one and only.'

As soon as the fans saw me they screamed and cheered. The songs changed to Never Say Never by The Fray.

Robert was wearing a plaid red sweater with a white collar and black slacks. My favorite color. He really knows me well.

Tears of joy and surprise flowed through my cheeks as I walked to Robert. He was wearing his cheeky trademark smile again.

"Happy first anniversary, love." Robert greeted.

I embraced him and the cheers of the fans went louder.

"Happy first anniversary, baby." I said and cried.

"Our wonderful journey had reached 365 days." Robert said and lifted me to the air.

"It was one hell of a ride." I said as he spun me in a circle.

He put me down and cupped my cheeks. Our bodies are pressed against each other. He looked at me in the eyes. Robert's brown eyes shows a picture of undying love.

"Thank you for loving me, Hayley." Robert said and kissed my lips.

I heard the fans screamed louder and more deafening as our lips touched. I put my hands around Robert's neck and he held my waist. They all showered us with red confetti as we continue our kiss. I felt Robert smile as we kept the lovely rhythm. We slowly pulled back and looked at each other nose to nose. His hands never left my waist.

"My love for you will never reach an end, Hayley Cameron Knight." Robert mumbled.

"Loving you is one of the best decision i've ever made, Robert John Downey Jr." I said and we kissed again.

Sorry my updates are getting weaker and weaker. Busy days came but i'm always trying find time to update.

I'm preparing my mind for the big event that will be held in the story ❤️
