Worst Mistake

"No. Why would he want to kill Robert?" Archie asked.

Robert's still outside the weaponry yet. He's still clueless that Anton is also going to kill him. And the worst part is, he will have the most tragic death.

It scared me. I will never let him touch Robert. I will do everything that I can to protect him. I'm not going to let Devon's promise slip away from me.

"Because he will make sure that I will feel what he felt all these years." I explained.

"Is he dumb? You already felt that. After Devon's death." Lauren exclaimed.

"He's that stupid. I can't believe that he's also targeting Robert." I said scarily.

"Robert is not trained for these kind of situations and we have to protect him." Eric suggested.

Even if Eric didn't suggest that. I'm already protecting him.

The four and Eric continued to exchange plans and ideas while I walk around the weaponry thinking a useful strategy.

"BULLSHIT!" I shouted and knocked a couple of handguns on the floor.

They all looked at me worriedly.

"Stark, it's fine. We'll think of something." Lauren said comfortingly.

I took a deep breath for me to calm down. My heart was about to pump its way out of my chest because of my anger.

I sat back on my chair and looked blankly in the desk.

"All I know for sure is that i'm not going to let Robert die. It's okay if I will but not him." I said.

"No one is going to die, Stark." Eric said and looked at me reassuringly.

"What's your plan of protection?" Taylor asked me.

"Robert doesn't want me to protect him because he wants that he's one who's going to protect me." I said.

"But Anton is stronger than him." Allison said.

"He targeted Robert because he knows that we're together. He wants me to suffer, remember?"

"He should've left Robert alone. He's not a part this." Taylor said and grabbed an assault rifle nearby.

"I'll talk to him." I said and stood up.

"You'll say that Santiago targeted him too?" Asked Eric.

"I don't know." I said and headed out of the weaponry.

I saw Robert sitting on the stairs looking weak and problematic.

"Are you okay?" I asked and sat next to him.

"All of us are not okay." Robert said and stared at me.

"I'm so sorry that you became a part of this." I apologized and looked down.

"You're sorry? You don't have to be sorry, babe." Robert said and held my hand.

"I'm regretting everything. I should've kept my feelings. I regret that I admitted it." I said.

Robert looked hurt when I said that.

"Are you saying that you should've let me die in that snowstorm?" Robert asked. He's brown eyes became glassy.

"Not that, Robert. I should've kept my feelings to myself." I said staring at his hand.

"That's the most perfect moment to me, Hayley." Robert said. His tears are about to drop.

I put my head in shoulder and he put his arms around me.

"If I kept it, you wouldn't encounter any of this." I assured.
