Chapter 18 ~ Erik route 4 ~ Awakening

[_2_]... the name sounded familiar. Still, whatever I had just been called, that was not what I was made seen. Memories slowly started to uncover themselves in my head.

''[_2_] you must never tell anyone who or what you are. Do you understand sweetie?''

''Yes momma'' I replied

''That's my girl.'' the woman I spoke to. Her voice sounded sweet and gentle.

''[_2_] sweetheart? Be just and kind. Your mother and I love you very much. We will see you again but we need to part ways for now.''

''Wait! When will you be back. Father!''

''Only show one side of your magic. Nobody must see what you can fully can do. Remember what we taught you and protect your...'' it was mother's voice again fading out into the distance. I could not hear the last words well. Protect my what? Me? Someone else?

The next voices were less pleasant. ''You there! In the name of the Demonlord cease your activities and come with us. You make an excellent woman for him.'' it was the voice of a pig faun I was sure of it.

''The Demonlord?'' I laughed. ''He is the lord of nothing for he is no ruler but a tyrant. One who shall meet his end by being to cocky, confident and selfish. He shall be the cause of his own downfall.''

''Your insults shall not be taken lightly. Come on let's take her.'' ''I would to see you try.'' I replied and soon the pig fauns released screams of terror. The pig fauns were with many judging by the amount of screams I heard.

''You are strong but that did not save you. You will make an excellent wife.'' This time it was the Demonlord speaking. I remembered I struggled and managed to hurt him in a fight until he got me outnumbered with pig fauns and other demons under his command. ''I'd rather die than being your wife. I will never submit to you. NEVER!'' my voice was determined but I was weak. I used up the magic I could and surely could not use the other.

''I will break you I assure you. And I will do that now.'' the Demonlord barely finished speaking and started to remember what happened next. Him tearing my clothes and I could feel his hands all over me. He wanted to rape me as well but the moment he tried to enter me a force of energy blew him away from me. At that point the Demonlord noticed I was special in his eyes and took me in captivity.

It changed again and I felt no frustration from the memories that revealed themselves before me just now. I was witnessing another one. One with Erik.

''He has no right to treat you or anyone like this. What did you do to make him this angry at you earlier...'' this was Erik's voice. ''I think I called him a glorified Pig Faun before spitting in his face. Laughing at him when he was angry did not help me much. But it was worth it.'' I replied. I was in pain but felt happy at the same time with Erik with me who treated my wounds. ''Stop aggravating him please. You are getting worse and there might come a day where I can not treat what he does to you.'' Erik sounded concerned. ''If it is truly bad I want you to summon me.'' Erik said. I did not understand why would he do this for me or where this was coming from. A demon giving his or her name to someone else was special. I did not deserve to know. ''You are not strong enough to fight him. You will get a beating just as much as I get... do not tell me your name please...'' I pleaded but I remembered his face tilting to mine. ''For you I will fight him. So please...'' I did not answer his words. ''My true name is Uzearis. You will never forget it.'' he whispered. ''Why. Why would you do this...'' I cried when I asked this. ''Because I care for you.'' ''You do not even know my name. I can't give it. I just can't...'' I sobbed. ''I know and that is alright. How do you wish me to call you?'' he asked. I looked at him wiping the tears of my face. ''You think of something.'' Erik smiled and nodded. ''I will give you a name that will suit you.'' he said and felt his lips kissing my brow before the memory faded away.
