Chapter 19.5 ~ Matthew route (Uzaeriel) ~ Revelations

''Is that him?'' Damien asked Erik. Today was the day they were meeting with Ezeq, one week after Erik met him. ''Yes.'' Erik replied. The brothers wanted to meet with him in a public place and Ezeq agreed without complaint. ''I imagined him to be different. He does not give me the vibe of an Angel either. It seems almost as if he is a normal human being. He probably has a lot of glamour spells to conceal who he truly is.'' Damien said. ''Well if you think Angels hate us demons just wait until you have seen how they treat a nephilim.'' Erik sighed rubbing the back of his head. ''Tell me if things get to hard for you regarding the thoughts.'' Erik said. Damien nodded and the two approached Ezeq who was sitting on a bench surrounded by a variety of birds. He was dropping bread crumbs which they eagerly ate. ''You are here early.'' Erik said and Ezeq looked at him. ''The two of you as well. I had a matter to take care off nearby earlier. Since I was close by I figured I'd sit here. The weather after all allows it.'' he said, rubbing the rest of the crumbs of his hands and pants before his gaze went to Damien. ''Pleasure meeting you. You can call me Ezeq.'' he said and held out his hand. ''Damien. I am one of Erik's brothers.'' Damien replied but seemed to freeze the moment his hand touched the one from Ezeq. ''You are perceptive. Feeling my power through the glamour. Not many can do that.'' Ezeq said as he released Damien's hand. Damien gulped and looked at him before taking a deep breath. ''Not to worry. I shall not use this power against either of you. I am not one of those Angels that wants to purge demons.'' he assured. ''Let's take a seat somewhere shall we? I will tell the both of you a bit of what I do. And I would like to hear what you want from me exactly. Although I heard some things over the phone, face to face is much better.'' Ezeq said and allowed the two brothers to lead the way. The three took a seat outside a bistro, out of the wind.

''So I understand that there are two issues here.'' Ezeq said after the two brothers were done explaining. ''A warlock friend who has been put into a coma, and a friend who is a demon with memory loss due to devil magic.'' he said and pondered. ''That is correct.'' Erik said. ''If possible I'd like to take a look at both of them. I recommend the human warlock first. Since so much time has already past could we do that today?'' Ezeq asked. ''I do not see why not.'' Erik said taking a sip of his tea. ''Should we not ask James first?'' Damien asked. ''In overall I just want to take a look. If I see the condition she is in I will know how to treat her the best.'' Ezeq said. ''And how much will that cost us? Angels never give anything for free right?'' Damien said. ''True. As much as I hate it I am no different. It is about a price being paid one way or the other. I also do not necessarily need to receive the payment soon. I have given plenty of 'I owe you's' throughout the years.'' Ezeq said. ''What do you think Damien.'' Erik said. ''If you drive I will text James so they know we are taking Ezeq to the hospital where Mika is. If he wants he can come too with the others.'' Damien suggested. ''Alright. Let's get going then.'' Erik said and Ezeq got on his feet. ''I'll pay for our drinks.'' he said and headed inside.

''Can we truly trust him?'' Damien asked. ''You got nothing from his mind?'' Erik asked and Damien shook his head. ''Nothing suspicious. He does seem he truly wants to help us and his thoughts do not reveal otherwise. Also he is hiding something. I just do not know what. He tries to keep his thoughts to the current situation.'' Damien said. Erik looked at the door where Ezeq vanished through. ''What do you think Erik.'' Damien said and Erik smiled. ''Nothing wrong with a person having secrets. We have them too brother. Who knows what will happen when people realise whose children we are...'' Erik said making Damien nod. ''And we do not have a lot of options left either. Mika's condition is getting worse. Diana does not seem to be able to wake her up either. A warlock Mika may be but her body is still human. The longer a human is in a comatose state the less chances there are they will be able to get out of it.'' Erik said. ''Are you not worried for what Ezeq will ask in return?'' Damien asked. ''A little. But I do not think he is going to ask for something unreasonable either.'' Erik said. ''Regardless, it is Mika. She has done so much for us. If Ezeq can help us it will be more than worth it.'' Erik said. Damien nodded, agreeing with his brother.
