((So so sorry for the long wait guys... life happened. But I havent forgot this or you. Hope you enjoy))

It was late when I got home but had a brief heads up sent to my phone. Diana with an animal demon and a warrior I did not know, and Lady K were already there. I did not know the details yet but I was enlightened soon enough.

''So Ezeq either can help with the risk of it going wrong causing Mika's soul to be torn apart or kill her which guarantees she will be safe?'' I repeated after James explained it. ''Poor Mika... '' I said still having to realize the severeness of the situation. ''Why would an Angel do this..'' ''To find that out we need to find the Angel. '' Lady K said. Sam looked at Diana. ''We... owe you an apology.'' He said. ''An apology? You owe her much more than that. You villinized her...'' the warrior spoke. ''It is fine Saero.'' Diana replied calmly. ''I may much to my own relief not be the reason for Mika's coma, I did take her energy. With her permission it may have been but the timing was to good. I have made her more vulnerable. If I hadn't taken so much perhaps she could have defended herself.'' she sighed. ''I do not know how strong Mika is but Angels are a lot different than us Demons. Energy or not she probably never learned how to fend off one. She perhaps could have held out long enough to call one of you but then what?'' I said. Hoping I did not speak out of place. ''She is right. Angels can easily destroy most Demons. What happened to Mika is horrible but now at least we know and can act upon it.'' Saero replied. ''I think, that the question we must ask ourselves now, is if we trust Ezeq with Mika's life.'' Erik said. ''The only true safe option when it comes to her soul, is killing her right now. That thought alone makes a pit grow in my stomach. But if this Angel magic kills her she will suffer until the end of eternity.'' ''We are NOT going to kill her.'' Sam growled. ''I will not accept that. Mika would go on until the bitter end. Gramps too if he were still alive. I am not going to let either of them down.'' ''Yea that's right.'' Matthew said. ''Hold on.'' Diana suddenly said. ''You know that if Ezeq fails the same fate befalls on Mika as if we were doing nothing, right? It does not sound that would he fail, that he could try again...'' she sounded worried. ''We know that too Diana.'' James said. ''But... not letting him try means that we have given up. And giving up on Mika is unfair.'' James said. His hands though were fists and Damien looked at him. ''Regardless of what we choose Ezeq seems like he is already gathering everything he needs. If we need more time to think before coming to a final decision we will not lose more time regarding Mika. I trust Ezeq to be able to help her and that he will go through great lengths to do so.'' Erik replied. ''You see him save a few demon girls and you trust him.'' Sam said calmly. ''I have not found anything about him at all unless he has a codename that I have on a shortlist from with the supernatural forces. Even so the information is limited. I really think that working with this guy is risky... but screw it. For Mika I want to take that risk as long as she is not the one who has to suffer for it when she wakes.'' he said. ''Me too.'' Damien said. ''We all want to see her alive. No thinking about that needed.'' Matthew said with a smile. ''Then I shall let Ezeq know about our choice.'' Erik said and he started tapping on his phone. ''Sent.'' he said with a nervous sigh. ''Still. Does he really not need any help gathering the ingredients?...'' Lady K asked. ''It just seems like a lot of work for one person even if that person is well. A half angel.'' ''He knows what he is doing and exactly what he needs. Even though helping him sounds as something he would perhaps need, perhaps we will only hold him back because we bring the wrong things or that the quality of it is not good enough.'' James replied. ''All we can do now, is wait.''

We did not hear from Ezeq for several days. Erik however did visit him once but Ezeq was not home. Instead he came home with someone Sam was most surprised about. It was just before dinner on Tuesday, when Erik came home with someone which surprised Sam the most. ''G-Gaku?!'' he said making the man Erik took with him grin. ''Yo Aomaris. How's it going.'' he said and clasped hands with his old friend. ''Guess where he is hanging out.'' Erik said with a smile. Sam's questioning face made Erik answer soon enough. ''Apparently Ezeq took him in a few years ago.'' Erik explained. ''Just you?...'' Sam asked. ''Oh no no. My brother too and many many others. Some have been relocated over the years but I am one of the earlier ones who decided to stay and help him out. Seriously he has every time arranged everything. Identification, a history, school for the younger ones if they had interest, and he does not care about the background of any of them either and does not tolerate slavery. You should see those of noble birth if they saw their former servants again. They were not happy. Well some still aren't.'' he said with a grin. ''Stay for dinner. Or do you have to leave.'' Sam asked. ''I can stay. The feathered bastard is away, the home is secure and my brother is there. I can stay away for a few hours.'' Gaku assured. ''Home is secure? What do you mean.'' Matthew asked. ''Ezeq takes in a lot of refugees. Many he soon gives safe other homes spread across the world. Some however are personally protected by him. Former slaves, or those with severe trauma. Also those who decide not to want to leave the safety of his home can stay. But the owners of these slaves want their 'possessions' back or take advantage of those who can be manipulated easily. Ezeq and people like me try to keep everyone safe but it is easier said than done.'' Gaku admitted. ''I was not so trusting towards him at first though. In the end he is still an Angel but I am glad I took a leap of faith and went along with him when he opened a portal for people to escape.'' he sighed. ''You did not fear for what he wanted in return?'' Sam asked and Gaku shook his head. ''No. I was not really able to think about that. The Demonlord was behind me, and portal in front of me. Remarkably though we got options after we had recovered from our wounds. Which was helping him save others or lead a happy life here in the Human world until it was safe to return where we belong. I chose the first. It feels good helping fellow Demons.'' Gaku said. ''Dinner is ready. Let's take a seat shall we?'' James said. With Sam and the others moving out of the way, it was now that Gaku noticed me sitting at the table. ''Well hello there. Who might you be?'' Gaku asked in a flirtuous tone. ''Ehm... [___]... nice meeting you. I am a friend of these five here.'' I said with a smile. ''So visiting too?'' Gaku asked. ''More like living here with us.'' Matthew said. ''Lucky! Hey [___] when dinner is over how about a drink? You said you were friends with them right?'' he asked before stumbling forward slightly because Sam hit him hard against his back. ''Forget it.'' he said and I could not help but giggle. ''Charming offer but no. I have homework to do after dinner.'' I replied. ''Not to mention you might be a little bit to old for me but worry not, surely there is someone out there you will like who will settle with you.'' ''Ohh especially carefully saying thesomeone and will.'' Matthew said. By his voice I could hear his approval. ''And rejected.'' Gaku sighed but laughed afterwards as he took a seat. Sam had quickly placed a plate and utensils. ''Who would have thought that the Demon princes would cook and serve that to a lowly commoner.'' Gaku said with a nostalgic expression on his face. ''Well we are no longer princes. We left all of that behind along with the Demon world.'' James said. ''After the five of you left though the world even got worse. But not as bad as several months ago. Well months for the Human world anyway. We have not yet found who it is but the Demon Lord apparently lost one of his prized possessions and sought everywhere. Until about six Human World months ago, survivors also spoke of someone who annihilated the Demonlord's armies and saved many people.'' Gaku said as he took some of the pasta that James had prepared that evening. ''Did anyone ever see her?'' Erik asked. ''Her? How do you know it was a her.'' Gaku asked. I did not know why but the direction where this conversation was headed, if it continued Gaku would know it was me. And if that were the case I feared what would come next. That the brothers knew, and Diana was one thing but if word got out that the one who apparently saved so many lived here there were just to many scenarios that could happen. Damien realised it by hearing my thoughts first. ''Well, Erik does have a nightclub. He hears everything.'' Damien said trying to sound as casual as he could. Erik's gaze and that of James, Matthew and Sam went to him and one glance was enough. ''You have a point.'' Gaku said to focussed on the food to pay attention to the atmosphere. ''Wow Raestro, well made.'' ''Thank you. Eat as much as you like. There is enough.'' James assured. ''I was wondering though. This girl that supposedly thinned out our father's armies. Is there anything else known about her?'' James asked. ''Not much... she had a black sword with white markings and had Succubus armor. She looked like a mess though, thin but despite that she would not stop. She told everyone to get to safety and nobody let themselves being told them that twice. To prevent anyone from helping her she even created barriers. Using them as well to prevent any of the Demonlord's loyalists to be able to flee. Those are the most trustworthy of the stories anyway. I mean some rumors had spread as well that she wiped thousands of soldiers with one sweep of her sword. Others, think she is the legendary guardian of the Abyssal Plains who was always there in the time of need. But that would not be possible.'' Gaku said before shoving some food in in his mouth. ''No? Why. Who is this Legendary guardian?'' I asked. The conversation was no longer heading into the direction where I could be connected to it so I was not afraid to ask. Gaku swallowed his food first but it was James who spoke. ''In old Abyssal Folklore, there is a legend about a female Demon who when the need is high, will appear and remove what threatens the peace in the Abyssal Plains. Her origins are unclear, some say she is a Goddess of the Realm, or someone sent by God. But always when the threat is over, she falls asleep, having exhausted her powers. Nobody knows where she rests and on occasion groups have tried to seek her out. But never found her.'' James explained. ''I see. I did not know that there was folklore like that.'' I replied. ''Well it are very old stories. I know about them because I have read the books. Erik too. But how do you know it Gaku.'' James asked. ''Ezeq. He told me the story when I asked, because some animal demons did not stop talking about it. They refer to her as The Saviour, a Succubus who a long time ago helped them stand against their masters in a very big war against some Dragon lich. When the Saviour fell asleep when the battle was done they made her a safe tomb to sleep in, using the magic the Saviour had given them.'' Gaku explained. As the stories were told, they were familiar to me but could not really place from when or when.

After dinner I helped with clearing the table and dishes before doing some of my homework. It was hard keeping up with everything I noticed. Gaku had to leave after dessert but promised to come by again soon. I had just finished with my assignments when I heard a knock on the door. When it opened, Sam and Matthew came in. ''We thought that perhaps you could use some tea. Not to worry it is honeybush, so no caffeine that will keep you awake.'' Matthew said. ''Thank you.'' I said with a smile accepting the cup, sitting down on my bed. ''You seemed distracted at dinner. Are you okay?'' Sam asked. ''Yes. At the least I think so.'' I said and he nodded, showing some relief to my answer. ''[___] can I ask you something?'' Sam asked as he stood against the wall. ''Sure..'' I said wondering what he wanted to know at this late hour. ''Why so secretive. You can be a bit proud at what you have done.'' Sam said. ''Agreed.'' Matthew added. I looked at the dark amber liquid in my cup before answering. ''I fear how long it would take for some people to connect the dots. Of me being both that 'prized Harem girl' and the one who slaughtered so many of the Demonlord's forces.'' I said. ''Is that a bad thing?'' Matthew asked. ''I am not sure if it is good or bad. But the people are looking for hope. Someone who can help them get their homeland back. Not to mention, there were so many I have not been able to save. Those people would perhaps feel anger, or will have expectations. Those who lost family and friends after I came here, who knows what they will say or think. I left them. I who was strong enough to perhaps make a difference. But I can not make that difference. Not in the way I am now. The less people who know who I am the better. At the least until I have my strength back. Besides, what if I am not that person.'' I said and looked at them. ''What do you mean. Diana recognised you.'' Sam noted. ''From one battle. They are looking for a Succubus right? If I was just a simple Succubus why was I so determined not to tell anyone. I endured torture to keep my identity a secret. I don't know... it is just confusing.'' I said with a sigh. ''If you do not want anyone to find out, we will help keep it a secret for now. Won't we?'' Matthew said and looked at Sam who nodded. ''Sure. You do have a point. If word got out you, the one who has killed so many of that old fuck's soldiers, they could even flock here demanding all sorts of things. But, also the word could reach the wrong ears and guide him right here. He slays Demons to get to you so he would probably do the same with humans.'' he said and chuckled. ''Still. Is it true? You are that same person? The Saviour or whatever?'' he asked. ''Not sure.'' I replied. ''Still if it is me does that not make me tens of thousands of years if not hundreds of thousands of years old? I mean look at me...'' I said. I looked way to young to be a thousands of years old Demon. ''You have a point. Although, during those years in the Abyssal Plains you do not seem to have grown older either. Still, legends do blow up over the years if they are not forgotten. Best is not to pay attention to it.'' Matthew said. ''Also, [___]... whoever you were, if you do not want to fight, you do not have to. You have fought so much already. We will not ever want you to worry about that. It is nobody's fate to be a saviour of a realm.'' Matthew said and I smiled at him. ''Thanks. I do not think though I could ever bear it to see people in need and do nothing but now, I can not do anything anyway. This... Saviour. Let her be hoped for. Let her be hated. If those stories are told to Demons, and they need to cling to it to even have a shred of hope that everything will be alright, it should not be taken from them.'' I said and both brothers nodded.

We started to talk about some other things, them asking about how school went to lighten the mood somewhat and even had a few laughs about human criminals Sam had encountered in his job that had been complete idiots. Matthew stayed a bit longer. ''Do you think we can practise for the game event again?'' he asked. ''Yea I think so. Am I that bad though?'' I asked with a teasing tone and a wink. ''What? N-no! You are the best partner I could wish for! Ehh gaming partner... you know.'' him fumbling over his words made me giggle. ''I am glad you asked me to join you with this event. I look forward to it. It is something fun in my hectic life.'' I said. ''You could try and take it more easy you know? I mean, again it is this late although that is partially Sams and my fault. But still... two jobs, and school must not be easy either... if you would quit one of your jobs nobody would be surprised. I can see you are getting more tired easily.'' he said. ''I know but still.. Waltz needs help and I don't know I just couldn't refuse him. And the Cosplay café despite it is work, it helps me too by distracting me from things I can easily obsess over such as homework.'' ''Well, if you need anything please tell me alright? And remember that the world will continue turning even if you have a day off. You may now finally let me and my brothers take care of you but remember to also take care of yourself.'' Matthew said as he approached me. When he reached me he pulled me into a hug and pressed a kiss on my hair. ''All those things you do might make you happy but take care of your health too okay?'' he said and I nodded. ''I promise.'' I said to which he nodded. ''Sleep well.'' he said before leaving my room and closing the door.
