A month had passed since the event with the devils and Cassindra. The latter had not been showing herself but despite the time that had passed we did remain alert. I went back to school when my bruises had been healed, the only difference was that I was always brought and picked up from school right away. I could not exactly do fun things with my friends either. Mika was still at Ezeq's place and was recovering nicely. She helped taking care of refugees and learned magic from Ezeq to help her defend herself against Angel magic. I had not yet met him though because the times I visited Mika, Ezeq was not home. He actually rarely was home to begin with. Still, the name Ezeq. I had a feeling I knew it from somewhere.
Damien and I had some repeats of the night in the hot spring and I felt happy. Damien's brothers were happy for the both of us as well. When I told Waltz I was officially dating Damien though he nearly choked on his drink, said that as long as he made me happy he would approve. Leylia however was overjoyed with the news and wanted every juicy detail I could share.
Right now it was evening. Erik was working humming a happy tune as he poured some drinks. ''Someone looks happy.'' Waltz said as he took his usual seat. ''You made it.'' Erik said with a smile. Waltz nodded and looked behind him, seeing a few others wave at him before disappearing into the crowd before looking back at Erik again. ''Yes well, things have been... crazy.'' Waltz admitted. Erik placed a glass of bourbon down. ''You remembered my poison.'' Waltz joked before taking a sip. ''Is bourbon the only adult drink you take?'' Erik asked and Waltz shook his head. ''I've had my favorites throughout the centuries. Mead was something I enjoyed a lot but it got replaced by other drinks. Quite a shame really.'' ''Since you like it so much perhaps I should give it a try.'' Erik said with a teasing smile. His expression grew serious afterwards though. ''Any news about Cassindra?'' Erik asked. Waltz shook his head. ''Nothing. I'm sorry. At least nothing worth mentioning. She mainly is in the Human world but sometimes goes to the Demon world as well. She works for the current Demonlord though so that is probably where Cassindra is headed when she leaves for the Demon world.'' Waltz gently twirled the liquid in his glass. ''Has your friend recovered properly?'' he asked and Erik nodded. ''Yes. Thanks to you. The Sweet Flower really helped a lot. She is doing her usual routines again too.'' Erik said with a smile. ''That is good. Has she accepted the offer regarding her memories yet?'' ''No... we actually still haven't told her. We plan to eventually when the holidays start.'' Erik said with a weak smile. ''Have you solved your issues with your sister yet?'' ''No. I actually have no idea how to start that conversation. I did talk with her about that I have a sister who does not remember me. It did not seem to trigger anything either. She told me to actually go for it and tell her. That she has to be the one to decide because that is something she would have wanted herself.'' Waltz said with a chuckle before sighing. ''If only she knew I was refering to her...'' ''You do not have to shoulder this alone you know.'' Erik said calmly. ''If I can help you in any way make sure to let me know. For now however I think you could use a day off.'' Hearing Erik's words Waltz looked at him. ''A day off?'' he asked. ''What. Has it been so long since you've last had one you forgot what it is like?'' Erik teased. ''Oi... I take moments for myself... like now.'' he said and Erik laughed briefly. ''True, despite you are making sure that those you've brought with you are having a good time as well.'' Erik said and gave a victory smile when Waltz did not respond and took a sip of his drink instead. ''So... how about, I take you out somewhere.'' Erik suggested. Waltz was just taking a sip from his drink and Erik's choice of words made him cough. ''You know for a guy who acts so calm and reserved you are quite easy to fluster. Just what were you thinking off I wonder.'' Erik teased once Waltz had stopped coughing. ''It sounds like you are asking me on a date...'' Waltz said just to make sure he heard it right. ''What if I am. Not good?'' Erik said with a sly smile. ''I actually... don't date anymore.'' Waltz admitted. ''Oh? Did something happen?'' Erik asked. ''Nothing to concern yourself with.'' Waltz assured. ''Well since you do not date, how about an un-date.'' Erik stated. Waltz could not help but laugh which made Erik look at him. ''I am sorry I am not laughing at you..'' Waltz said although Erik did not change his gaze. ''I think from all the times I have seen you here or have seen you in general that was the first carefree laugh I heard from you.'' Erik said with a smile. ''I suppose. Thanks for that.'' Waltz said with a smile. ''You should carry one more often. It suits you.'' Erik said and Waltz was surprised and silent for a moment before he regained his composure. ''But an un-date you say huh? What does one do on an un-date.'' he asked. ''Let me worry about that. I take it then that you accept?'' Erik asked. ''What can I say. I am curious. I have never been on an 'un-date' before.'' ''Perfect. Then it is a date. Well, un-date.'' Erik said with a smile. Waltz couldn't help but chuckle and briefly shook his head. Waltz stayed until the ones he had brought with him wanted to go home.
