Chapter 23 ~ Sam route 9 ~ Lets do this together

When we got there though it appeared that during our absence the Demonlord had gotten the upper hand. The boys were wounded on the ground being defended by Diana who seemed to be at her last end too blocking the Demonlord's attacks to prevent him from reaching his sons. Immediately Sam rushed forward placing a fist in his father's stomach leaving an impression behind. He threw more punches at him though giving the boys time to get up. Damien looked at him before looking at me. ''He did it...you're alright...'' he said with a smile but he now noticed how I looked like as I approached. My two pair of horns and tribal markings were something that the boys had not seen before and caught them slightly off guard. ''Sanctus Angelus alis venti ab cura et lava dolor auferat.'' my spell created soft golden orbs that when touching the brothers and Diana, made their wounds heal. ''What magic is this... it is not Demon magic...'' James said watching his disappearing bruises and I smiled but did not answer James' question. ''It does not bring energy back but at the least it helps a little.'' My gaze went to at Sam who just received a punch from his father that forced him against the wall. I made my black batlike wings appear and quickly flew towards Sam, landing between the him and is father with one of my hands aimed at the man who had tormented me for decades. A gold and black energy engulfed my hand and the Demonlord too as the spell started to manifest. ''Pati!'' Even though Sam had taken all of my anger and rage, the feelings did come back to me. He could hear it in my voice as the spell left my lips. The Demonlord toppled over screaming. I kept the spell going and looked at Sam. ''You alright?..'' I asked and Sam coughed what seemed like blood as he got on his feet. ''Never been better.'' he said as he used some energy to heal the wounds he had sustained. ''Let's do this together.'' Sam said and I nodded.

''You fucking whore!'' The Demonlord growled. ''Dodge!'' Sam said as despite suffering a great amount of pain, the Demonlord took a swing at me which I dodged by quickly flying up and Sam jumped aside. Due to having to move though the spell broke and with it the gold and black flames vanished. Sam was the first to reach his father again, summoning his red sword. Sam's attack was blocked by the blade of the Demonlord however causing red flames and black lightning to release when the blades touched. I summoned my own sword as well and together with Sam I fought the Demonlord. We defended one another and gave the other opportunities to hit the Demonlord with our blades. One glance in Sam's eyes was enough for me to know what he wanted to do. When I had to strike and when I would be in the way. It went well for a bit until the Demonlord had enough. ''Tenebris Fulgur!'' The Demonlord's voice boomed like thunder followed by a shockwave with electricity that pushed both Sam and I away. The impact against the stone wall was hard and knocked all of the air out of my lungs. I was fortunate enough to have had my wings gone during the fight since I fought on the ground and not the air. ''Now, first to deal with you.'' The Demonlord spoke as he rushed my way but Sam had already gotten up, knocking his father off his feet sending him crashing against a wall himself. ''[___]!..'' slowly I got up with Sam's help but did not have a lot of time. ''A tough guy...'' I panted as I wiped some blood from my mouth. ''That he is. Let's finish this.'' Sam said and looked at me. I looked into his eyes and nodded. Sam charged, and I flew towards the Demonlord with a sword in one hand and preparing a spell in the other. The Demonlord was already back on his feet. One arm limp and cuts all over his body. I threw the spell at him that I had prepared. As weakened as he looked though the Demonlord was anything but that. With ease he dodged the spell and our swords clashed. Me being able to fly gave me an advantage not to mention he had to keep both Sam and me off. What I failed to notice however was that my opponent used energy to heal his arm and snatched me out of the air after kicking his son away. ''Now I have you...'' The Demonlord snarled. His hand was tight around my body and I could hear Sam call my name. My eyes glew golden and my body got covered in black and golden flames that quickly made its way to the Demonlord as well. Only he was not the only one affected by this. Me being in physical contact with him made me feel the excruciating pain as well but it had the result that I wanted which was the Demonlord releasing me. ''You will pay for that!'' the Demonlord roared and from his mouth a bolt of lightning shot my way. I barely had the time to make a barrier but I noticed that my energy was depleting fast. The lightning was stronger than my barrier but I had to hold out a bit longer. I got blown against the ground when my barrier shattered but before the Demonlord could reach me Sam had reached him again. ''I'll kill you you old fuck!'' Sam growled and before the Demonlord could react, Sam was already with him slashing open his father's torso with his sword that was now blazing with flames. The Demonlord was breathing like a raging bull and my eyes went to Sam. ''DIE!'' Sam roared as he charged at his father with his sword in his hand and attacked him relentlessly. Sam was faster and stronger. The Demonlord had grown weaker and slower and eventually could no longer parry Sam's attacks. When Sam saw the opening he took it and drove the sword through his father's chest making the man release a loud scream before falling forwards landing on his side with a loud thud. Sam panted, exhausted but still standing slowly looking at me as I got on my feet.
