Chapter 23 ~ Erik route 9 ~ For you I will

A loud bang made it's way over the entire battlefield, a cloud of dust rising from the castle's courtyard. Tears appeared in my eyes but something was odd.

The tears became tears of relief as I noticed a silvery shimmer in the dust. The boys and Azaeur were still alive shielded by an energy wall Waltz had casted. Saero was checking on Azaeur first, giving her energy while the Demonlord kept attackinig Waltz' shield. He could not hold this shield up forever, I knew. ''[_2_] go! Help them please!'' Mika pleaded. ''Not to worry we got this.'' Nyntha assured. We have less in the front so we are able to cover our backs.'' Nivv added and I nodded before I unfolded my black wings and made my way over to the castle. Azaeurs father wanted to move as well but I called out to him as I passed him. ''Lead the troops! I got this.'' The Demonlord was going to feel how badly he messed with the wrong people. I had to make him stop from hitting Waltz' barrier though before he ran out of energy. Since the Demonlord liked lightning, I decided to go for the same. ''Fulgur Sacris!'' out of the sky a silver lightning bolt stroke down hitting the Demonlord fully blasting him away in the castle rubble. More debris falling on his body. I landed between the Demonlord and the boys.

''A-Angel...'' Erik's voice sounded weak and it was not a secret he was in pain. ''That bastard...'' Sam panted. His voice trembled and when I looked at him he coughed up some blood. ''He drank something I do not know what but it turned him into this...''

''Sam don't move...'' Waltz commanded as he dropped his shield and rushed over to him. I made my way to Erik and gave some energy of my own after casting a short healing spell to help them. It was clear they needed more however. ''Waltz. Heal them. I will win some time.''

''Angel no... go. It is you he wants.'' Erik grunted and I smiled as I got on my feet, summoning the black sword again in my hand. ''You expect me to leave. I can't Erik.''

My gaze went to the Demonlord who started to move. The blast only had startled him and he was retaliating. ''Waltz, I will do damage if I can but I can use the extra hands as soon as possible alright? I am counting on you.'' I started to take calm steps towards the Demonlord. This had been going on long enough. His wickedness would come to an end one way or the other. My blade in my right hand, but that was going to be the least of the Demonlord's worries. He was a rage demon yes. But he was going to get a taste of my own wrath.

''Damn you...'' the Demonlord grunted. I wanted to cast spells but already had I used much energy and there was no telling in which moments I needed it the most. I had to refrain from using it. He got out of the rubble heavily bleeding. He grinned however when he saw me. ''My dear, you missed our wedding.'' he spoke on a tone that made me sick to the stomach. ''I did? Sorry for leaving you at the altar. I wish I could have pinned you on it.'' I took a stance. I fought the Demonlord before in his former form and if this potion only made him stronger there was no saying in what he could and would do now.

''How about this. You drop your weapon and come to me willingly. In return my sorry excuses for sons get to go to wherever they please to live their lives. I will even make my men retreat. So many died already all because of you.'' his words were spoken on a sweet tone. ''You must be mistaken. Those who have died, died to make this world to how it once was. Beautiful. Peaceful. A world for their children to grow up in. But that world is impossible with you. If I would give in now their sacrifice will have been for nothing so giving up? Forget it.''

''Looks like someone needs to be disciplined.'' The Demonlord said and laughed. Well laughed? It was more like a mad cackle. ''You are mine, first child of Lilith.'' from behind his back he summoned lightning in his hand which he threw at me but I sliced through it with my sword before charging at him. Time. All I could win was time and hopefully find a weak spot.
