Erik sighed relieved. ''It is over... right?'' he said and I looked at him. ''Not quite.'' I said looked at Ezequiel before looking at Damien. ''What do you mean it is not over yet.'' Sam barked. ''Cassindra is dead, she killed the Demonlord for us...let's leave this shithole.'' Ezequiel sighed upon realizing the reality he and I lived in. ''We drew attention to ourselves. [_2_] and I are not supposed to exist remember? Both of us used large amounts of our magic. It is only a matter of time until Angels will show up.'' Ezequiel said. ''He and I will be hunted down like dogs.'' I said with a sigh. ''One of us anyway if we part ways. At the least one of us has to be able to do what they were born for. Ezequiel protected humans from Demons. My task is to make sure this realm is peaceful so Demons have no reason to leave.'' I explained. ''So what now.'' James asked. ''You guys should go. I will face the Angels alone.'' ''You want us to go?'' Damien asked and I nodded. ''If Angels find out you knew about what I am, they will likely slaughter all of you. But worry not. I have stood against Angels before. I can handle them.'' I assured. ''Ezequiel... bring them to the Human World alright? I will follow after I have dealt with the Angels.'' I said. ''Angel... we can not just let you face them alone, there is no saying with how many they are...'' Erik protested. ''He is right. Together we stand a chance against Angels.'' Matthew added. I however shook my head. ''That I can not allow. They will investigate and Angels are not known to have mercy on things they consider sacrilegious. I am going to try and fool them instead. Have a little bit of faith in me though. I can handle myself.'' I assured. ''Are you certain about this?'' Ezequiel asked and I nodded before summoning my sword giving it to him. ''We will need to switch though. I am not going to bargain her soul for my freedom.'' I said and he nodded, summoning his own sword before we exchanged them. ''Alright. You better come back. I did not get that job as your mentor so you could ditch me again the moment you became yourself again.'' he said and I smiled. ''I wouldn't dare. Not to mention my homework.'' I joked. ''Indeed young lady, You have fallen behind not to mention all the classes you have missed. I feel a parent-student-mentor appointment coming.'' he said with a grin.

''Wait... so we are leaving her alone to fend off the Angels?'' Sam said. ''Trust me if she does fight we do not want to end up in the crossfire.'' Ezequiel said. I looked at Damien noticing Ezequiel was preparing to get them back to the Human world. ''I love you. See you soon.'' I said. He then looked at Ezequiel who finished making the teleportation circles which light up brightly and when the light was gone so were they. I took a deep breath and looked at the mess around me as I entered the castle again after looking at the wasteland this war had created. Rebuilding was going to be difficult for those who came back. Most residents of this realm did not even have a home to return too. The land was no longer fertile and in the air hang a stench of burning and death. Perhaps there was something I could do. Now though was not the time for this. ''You can come out of hiding you know, Damien.'' I said calmly. From my shadow he emerged, with a face like that of a child that had been caught stealing a cookie from the jar. ''What gave me away?'' he asked and I chuckled. ''I was not born yesterday. Sensing magic is not that hard.'' I assured and looked at the sky. ''When do you think they will be coming?'' Damien asked as he joined my side and held my hand with his before he looked at me. ''You are afraid...'' he said and I nodded, squeezing his hand. ''Now even more so you are here. To be honest I think it are going to be a lot of Angels. I am tired. I do not think I can fight what comes my way this time.'' I said and scoffed. ''And since you are here too they will likely not spare you either.''

''I stayed here knowing that.'' Damien said making me looked at him. ''Hey. Don't feel guilty. I love you. There is no way I would have allowed you to face it alone. Ezequiel however did seem to believe in you and so did my brothers. I heard the doubt in your thoughts.'' he admitted. ''If I told you to hide... would you?'' I asked and Damien shook his head. ''So you are willing to die... in the world you loathe? Just to be with me?'' I asked and all he did at first was giving me his sweetest smile. You love this world don't you? And although you forgot your purpose I do not think you have ever stopped protecting it with all you had. All those stories you told me. Legends, about the Guardian for example. Who rallied animal demons and young dragons against a powerful dragon lich. That was you wasn't it.'' he said and I smiled. ''Yea. That was me.'' I said and chuckled. ''Was it true you fell asleep after that?'' he asked and I shook my head. ''No. After that I vanished. Retreated to the human world for a short while. Visited Ezequiel although he does not know I had. I am supposed to work from the shadows and remain unseen to a certain degree. But looking back, that was no life to lead and I was glad that my brother found a proper balance. I tried to hard.'' I sighed and looked at the sky. ''I am curious by the way. After you snapped out of Cassindra's enthrallment what happened.'' I asked and Damien rubbed the back of his head. ''I heard Ezequiel call out to me and he told me to bring Erik to him. I only had a brief moment of clarity. I took Erik to the shadow plane and Ezequiel removed the enthrallment from us. There he said he was done with fixing up your memories. We watched the battle unfold and concluded it was better if he could defend so I convinced him to let me take care of getting your memories back to you. He had a bit of an energy shortage though so Erik gave away some of his.'' Damien admitted. ''I am glad for them.'' I said with a soft smile. ''Huh?'' Damien made me look at him. ''Oh come on it is not as if they are even bothering to hide it. Regardless of having my memories or not I know how my brother looks when he is happy.'' I said with a smile. ''At the least though he is safe...'' We looked at the sky sensing the presence of Angels. Portals were opening making several dozen of them appear. ''Great...'' I sighed. ''We do not need to fight after all.'' Damien suddenly said. ''What? It is not as if they are just going to leave... not to mention all that leftover magic of mine it is a magnet. Putting on the glamour Ezequiel used will take way to long as well hence I had not done it.'' I said and he nodded. ''Trust me... I do not have time to explain but do as I say.'' he said and I nodded. ''You are cryptic right now that is for sure... but fine. I trust you.'' I said and he smiled.
