(This is the second chapter for Sam's route. It will be a lot different from Erik's route just like Seduce me the otome 2 where every incubi has his own story. I also realised I got the US school (age) system a bit wrong but I am not sure whether to correct it or not xD Kind of stupid of me not to have researched that in the first place but anyway :) hope you all enjoy)

''Hey [___] wait up!'' I just had closed my school locker and heard Leylia's voice. My classes had ended for the day and I had put in my bag in the locker. Three weeks had passed since the job offers and I had decided to work in the library. Despite the job in the cosplay café sounded appealing, it would be late hours and in Chicago there was quite a bit of crime. Having taken out Devils or not and whatever other creatures, I was convinced by Sam and James that the library was a better idea. We all agreed that on the days I would work there I'd take the bus home so that Sam would not have to keep driving back and forth. This was the second week I worked with Waltz and it was actually more fun than expected.

''Leylia what's up.'' I asked. ''Well, I wanted to give you this. You transferred in after all so you might have missed a few things regarding our customs that are actually not in the school handbook..'' she handed me a flyer which read Halloween Costume Ball to be held at November the 2nd in the garden of the school. Well, depending on the weather anyway. ''We do this every year around Halloween. At Christmas we have a Gala. It is required to have a date as well and dance. And I do not mean the headbanging to symphonic metal dance like we do with the music I put on your phone. Small prizes are awarded to the best couples and costumes. There is no set theme but it is fun.'' she said with a beaming smile. ''Anyways, I have to run. I have extra classes to attend. With my current average mark the finals are going to be hard...'' she complained with a sigh. I chuckled and put the flyer in my blazer for now. ''Aren't finals hard to begin with?'' I asked to which Leylia smiled. ''Say's the one who has not yet scored lower as a B minus. Anyways, have fun at the library. I would not mind working with Waltz he is so handsome! And young compared to all the other teachers here. My mentor is always cranky.'' Leylia sighed. ''Want me to set you up on a date with Waltz?'' I teased and Leylia flushed. ''No no no! Absolutely not.'' she said and rushed off. ''See you on monday!'' she called and I waved before sighing. A ball. I doubt I could even dance to begin with but it did sound like fun.

I went towards the library to start my friday shift. I would finish around six PM but there was plenty to be done. Often students came in to bring in the books they had borrowed at the last possible moment. They had till five PM to do this and it was my job to log as many books as possible and put them back in their rightful place.

''There she is, my knight in shiny armor.'' Waltz said with a smile. I however raised an eyebrow. ''I suppose that makes you the damsel in distress doesn't it?'' I replied and he smirked. ''Careful Miss Anderson, you are getting too cocky. You are not starting to think you are better than the other students just because you get good grades right?''

''Why. Are you afraid that is the case? Besides I think I have found something I will suck at.'' I walked to the other side of the counter as I spoke. ''Ohh? What is it.'' Waltz asked. I took three books that had not been logged yet and began my work. ''The Halloween Ball. I do not think I ever danced before...'' I said and put the books on a cart that I could use to transport more books at once.

''Do you know someone who can teach you?'' Waltz asked as he was checking the bookcases for misplaced books. On occasion students would pick out a book but decide they did not need it anyway and place it back. Or misplace was the better term.

''Maybe my caretakers, but they have rather busy lives.'' The door opened after I spoke and a few students entered. A small group of students walked to the counter to return the books they borrowed. I checked in the returned books with a scanner that scanned the barcode and placed them on the cart. More students came in though and by the time it was quiet again it was just past five. I had to give a kind warning to the last one who came in since he was actually to late but I told him I'd let him off the hook this one time. I almost got discouraged by the big pile of books waiting to be returned to their rightful place but it was not as if they'd do that by themselves. I quickly made categorized piles and pushed the cart to the first section.
