A brief history of Monte Carlo
Hundred and hundred years ago, a Spanglish (Spanish-English) explorer by the name of Fabian Aristotle Monte Carlo cruised along the Pacific ocean when a typhoon hits his ship that led him and his crew washed ashore the northern part of Luzon of the Philippines.
His ship sank into the sea and from the twenty crew, left only two, he and his best friend, Sebastian Montehujer. The two wandered along the barren forest, hills, looking for an inhabitants to seek food and comfort, but a week passed, the two lived with the wild berries, wild animals, and water from the hot spring. Their energy dwindling and their legs barely carry their weight anymore when finally, they spotted a few inhabitants.
They both lost so much weight and their hopes dying when they stumbled into the small village in the deepest part of the seemingly undiscovered land.
One of them welcomed Fabian and his friend Sebastian with open arms despite the language barrier and fed them until they regained their strength.
And as the days, months, and years passed by, the couple's daughter, Maria, with a face like a nymph, enchanted them both.
The two men fell hopelessly in love with Maria. They fought for her affection, did everything they could, their friendship was broken, and Fabian won the heart of Maria, that's according to the myth.
As the years passed, the story of the myth has been told with a little exaggeration until the story had changed into something else.
But some says and strongly believed, Fabian killed his best friend, drowned him while he was sleeping. After his disappearance, Maria married Fabian and they were blessed with one child.
They tried to have some more kids, but it seemed they've been cursed. Up until the fifth generation, the Monte Carlo was only blessed with one son, until Fabricio came.
Just as shrewd and ruthless as Fabian, his great, great, great grandfather, his name became a hot topic among the Monte Carlos.
The northern part of Luzon became prosperous under the Monte Carlo's hands. They maybe unfruitful with children, but definitely their crops were abundant. They turned the Northern Part of Luzon as the richest and booming province of the Philippines, perhaps in the whole Asia. They became known for its richness, and for the white house built at the top of the hill. The place then called as the Olympus of Asia.
It was a myth, a story the residents of Monte Carlo knows about. Only the Monte Carlo family knows the real story.
