This morning, I asked Mr. Kelly if I could go with him in his work. I would like to see him work. I wonder what kind of job he is in.
"Sure, ride along." He waved his hand motioning to get in the car.
Yes!!! Wohooooo!
While driving, I kinda miss the feeling when I am with my dad in the car. I asked Mr. Kelly, "Sir, if you have a choice would you go home?"
"It's a hard question but I tell you, I love home. Home is the sweetest place. But if I had to do something for a cause, I'll do it." He said while smiling.
I really do not know what it meant but I feel God was telling me that.
After a long ride, we arrived at his clinic. Oh nice! The doctor is in!
I saw the patients lining up but they have companions. They have pets. Dogs, cats, turtle, hamster, horse? Okay so I didn't see that.
A woman with blonde hair, wearing a white shirt and jeans greeted him with a bow.
"Hey! Doctor!" Mr. Kelly greeted her back with a salute.
The woman saw me and looked at me with excitement. She talked to Mr. Kelly for a while and left.
Uhmm maybe she is asking him who am I. No. I'm just a friend who came by.
It was a good clinic because there were four other doctors in this clinic. Mr. Kelly introduced me to them.
"Mr. Whitacker, Mrs. Hamsbury, Mr. Jackson, and Ms. Jackson!" he told me their names. "They are all vets."
Vets? Oh veterinarians. This is a veterinarian clinic!
So, I see. Ms. Jackson is the pretty woman who looked at me a while ago. She seemed kind from my first sight of her. I kinda like her.
"Ms. Jackson? Is he related to Mr. Jackson?" I asked Mr. Kelly while he was preparing his room.
"His daughter." He said quickly.
Oh I see. I wanted to know her story. How he began to follow his dad's footsteps. But I'm shy.
"Mr. Kelly, can I be your assistant? I'm glad to help." I asked. Well at least, I have something to do here.
"Sure. Just follow what I say." He replied.
Okay. I started helping the patients with their dogs come inside the room. Well dogs are uneasy. Are they afraid of doctors too? Like me? Oh well that was five years ago.
There was one dog which I really admired. He looked so cute and friendly. I saw his name tag read Sam. Sam sniffed in my direction and went to me. Ohhh! I patted him and said, "Good boy! Good boy!" The owner smiled and Sam went back to him.
"No matter where you go, you will always come back to me." I heard God say.
"Yes, Lord!" I smiled.
I was so tired of running and chasing a cat because it ran away because she saw a big bull dog. Her owner came chasing her too. Thank you there was Mr. Whitacker who caught her at his feet.
It was also my first time to carry a turtle. It was a big turtle. The owner gave it a leafy plant to chew on. Aw. What a cute animal.
My second time to play with a hamster. I remember Riley once had a pet hamster which she played with but it died. I wish her to be here. I would like her to see hamsters again.
This day was a wrap and I would always be thankful for this experience in the clinic. Oh yeah I almost forgot about the horse. I could not resist myself to ride on its back. I always wanted to do horseback riding growing up. Once, I dreamed to be a cowboy like Sheriff Woody in Toy Story. The only thing lacking is a checked shirt, ripped jeans, and a fancy cowboy hat to complete my outfit.
