After class, I asked Mrs. Kelly. "Have you ever hated someone?" Mrs. Kelly stunned by what I asked, replied "Uhm, yeah. But I forgave him. Why do you ask? Do you hate someone?"
"I-uhm. You always taught me to forgive. Mom and dad too. I easily forgive someone who hurt me." I answered. "That is just right. Holding grudges is just you drinking poison. You will just hurt yourself in the long run. I had hold grudges in someone back then but you know, God wiped the hate and anger in my heart. He gave me something to start with. A new life in teaching."
Smiling as always. I know that Mrs. Kelly is a woman of God. "You are growing up, Janice. You will not be so innocent as before. But do know that God is always here."
Suddenly, a guy walked up to us. It was him. The guy I liked. Wait, why am I shy in writing about him here? He would not see this anyway.
He walks up to Mrs. Kelly and handed her a letter. He sat beside me as Mrs. Kelly read his letter. I was looking at my shoes all the time. And when I sensed that he is not looking, I quickly glanced at him. After a minute, Mrs. Kelly called him.
From the direction of their steps, they were heading to the Principal's office. Okay? So what did he do? I was a bit concerned for him and also about my dad picking me up.
Lord, is dad coming already? Just then, I heard a beeping sound. It was daddy.
"How's your day, sweetie?" he asked.
"It's okay dad. Uhm, may I ask you something?" I thought of telling him straightforward.
Dad looked at me expecting my question. "Do you hate mom?" I asked.
Dad was shocked and even the car. Halt! He looked at me and kept driving. I can see that he is shocked by what I asked. Is it true? I waited for his answer.
"No." he nodded.
I sighed with relief because I know that heloves mom so much. From what I see everyday, mom loves him too. Maybe dreamsare just dreams.
