I have not seen mom this day. She stayed in her room locked. Dad said he slept at the living room to give space to mom. She was alone and had not yet eaten dinner. I felt guilty that we are eating and mom was not so I took a plate and ran upstairs to convince her to open the door.
"Mom, I know you could hear me. Can you please let me in?" I spoke calmly.
I heard no response.
"Mom, please?" I tried for the last time but she was not answering. I was a bit nervous on what was she doing there. I ran to dad and asked if he could open the door with the spare keys.
Dad calmly stood up and reached for the spare keys in the drawer. "Here, try."
I inserted the key and slowly turned the knob. Dad followed as I slowly open the door.
"Honey?" dad knocked on the opened door.
Mom breathed loudly.
"Mom, here. Dinner?" I offered her the plate.
"You can leave it at my table." She ordered.
Dad sat beside her. "Sania, what are you doing? She was worried about you."
Mom did not answer and when asked what was she doing here the whole day, she answered, "Praying."
I was so sad that the fight between dad and his mates have so much to do with mom's feelings. If I have to do something, I would. But I don't think mom would forgive me if I would talk to Mr. Kelly personally. Dad would be the same.
Maybe prayer was the only solution she could think of. I do too.
Lord, we are so helpless in the situation and we need you. We desperately need your help.
