I woke up early this dawn. I have packed my bag already. Dad is not yet home and I'm gonna find him. This may be crazy I know but I need to bring back my dad here. I wrote a letter to my mom. It was a long letter but when you summarize it, this is what it looks like:
Dear mom,
I know that I have offended you and I have offended dad too. I am so sorry for what I had done to make you argue against each other. Thank you for telling me some information where I can find dad. I'm on my way to him back home. Please do not worry because I have my cellphone with me. You can contact me anytime. I may not promise anything but I am going to come back! I just do not want dad to go away again! I'm sound like a kid but yeah maybe I am one. A kid who longs for a family always! So, with much love. Take care mom! See you soon!
Janice
I put this letter on their table in their room so she can read it right away. I sighed as I walked down the stairs quietly and closed the door. I feel the sadness of going away. But I felt that pain twice, the loneliness of being left behind.
Before anything else, I prayed. Lord, God, help me to find dad. I long for him. I know that I will find him. Please help me! Amen.
So, my first stop was my dad's office. I have to confirm still.
"Excuse me. Is my dad here? Mr. Joseph Melbourne?" I asked the Information counter.
"Oh, Mr. Melbourne. I'm sorry to say that he is fired already." The guy wrote in a piece of paper after I asked him to please write his reply. He sensed that I was deaf so I saved time to explain.
Sadly, dad was not there. But there was a feeling, a strong feeling that he was somewhere in this city. Do I need to follow my intuition? Yes!
I kind of want to know why dad was fired but I thought that they would not tell me because I am still a minor. Okay, so maybe I'll ask dad. Well, I can try if he would tell me.
So, my next stop was my school, I need to know if maybe he went there and talked to Mrs. Kelly. I talked to the security guard if he saw dad passed by the gate and he nodded sidewards.
Sadly, dad was not there. So I had to think of some place where could he be.
Just after I left the gate of my school, there was a phone call. It was mom.
Oh Lord. I answered with no second thoughts.
Me: Hello?
Mom: Hello, Jan! Please come home! Let's do this together!
Me: Mom, I am sure of this. Just stay there maybe he will come back!
Mom: Janice! Please!
Me: Mom, don't worry. I am going to be safe! I will come home soon!
I hang up the phone. It's a bit rude, I know. Sorry Lord.
As I walk and walk and walk, I stopped by a bus stop. I put on my headphones.
Me: Hi, Lord. I hope you are here.
God: Yes, of course. Always.
Me: Where is dad?
God: He is still in confusion up to now.
Me: Lord, I'm sorry if I had to be like this. Mom and dad fights now.
God: Janice! Some things need time to work.
Me: Yeah, maybe this is one.
I realized my stomach was grumbling. Oh no! Do I have money? Yes, I do have. Okay maybe, this coins could do it.
Suddenly mom called before I was going to ride a taxi.
Mom: Honey, it's lunch time. Go home.
Me: What's for lunch mom?
Mom: One of your favorites!
Me: Oh my gosh! Tuna? Chicken?
Mom: Go home! It's grilled tuna with fresh tomatoes!
Me: Omg! I'll come home now!
I cannot miss the dish! One of my faves! I cannot wait a minute longer!
Coming home now!
