The sun comes up, it's a new day dawning
It's time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes

Bless the Lord

Oh my soul, oh my soul
Worship His holy name

What a beautiful Name it is
Nothing compares to this
What a beautiful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

Bless the Lord

Oh my soul, oh my soul
Worship His holy name

The name of Jesus...

I'm listening to Christian Medleys on Spotify as I put my gym shoes and start jogging to the park. I was surprised when someone was at the door. Riley!! She was in gym outfit too and she brought me coffee. But preferably, I would like lemon water.

Mom, Aunt Helen and Tim will join us to run in the park's perimeter. This is the first time we would jog together.

"Hey, Sania! Going to be fit now huh?" Aunt Helen teases mom.

"Gosh, Riley look at how your mom teases me!" mom laughed.

"No, I just miss you happy little sissy!" Aunt Helen grinned.

"Well, I would be happy if he is here!" she said while looking at our family picture hanged on the wall.

"Of course, mom! Daddy will come!" I said as I headed straight for the door. "Let's go!"

We had a good breakfast at a nearby stall and after headed straight home. Mom will leave again for the police station and Aunt Helen invited me to go selling with her and my cousins. Of course, I would love to! "Don't worry, Aunt Helena! I have marketing skills!" I giggled.

I adore her hard work in selling baked sweets near the church for her extra income. We sold so much in just an hour. And for that, Aunt gave us a free treat of a strawberry frosted donut with iced tea. Oh how I love donuts! I like the one Tim had, a rainbow spinkled sugar donut but anyway, I'll give it to him.

After a while, Riley called me saying that she has something to say.

"What is it, Riley?" I replied.

"I have bought two tickets for a skateboarding show near our town. Let's go! It will be fun!" She showed me the two skateboard contest tickets.

Two skateboard tickets worth a couple of dollars? Where did you get that?

"Somewhere! What do you say?" she looked at me with big eyes.

"Okay, if I have time, I would be coming." I said unsurely. "Where is it going to be anyway?"

"Near your school!" Riley said excited.

"Sadly, Riley, I also have something to say." I hesitated but I think she needs to know. "Mom pulled me out! I'm now transferred."

Riley was shocked and saddened. She bought two because she thought that I could come. She told me that she availed the Buy 1 Take 1 promo exclusive for students there. But sadly, I am not anymore so I we could not go.

"I'm sorry, Riley. I now how you love watching skateboard contests." I apologized as I try to give her my bitten donut. "Don't worry next time, I'll come!"

She didn't say anything but smiled. She went away.

"I hope I could come back in my school, Lord." I thought.

Back at home, I saw mom sitting on the sofa, hands covering her face. What happened? Where is dad? I asked her the question and she said, "Not sure if tomorrow."
