A shocking truth!!

This kind man who fed me was Mr. Oliver Kelly, the husband of Mrs. Kelly.

Yesterday, he told a piece of the pie story between them. It was so late at night but he offered to drive me back home. I refused. I told him that I would never go back home without my dad. Maybe he thinks that I'm a stubborn brat but I really can't give up now. I have someone to help me. And not just someone, Mrs. Kelly's husband.

"But how about your mom, Janice? She's worried about you." he said handing me the phone.

"Thank you. I miss her so much." I said grabbing the phone.

I dialed mom's phone number which I memorized since I was a kid. According to Mr. Kelly, the phone rang but no one answered. He tried to call again. Again, the phone rang but no one answered.

I was frightened so I prayed. Maybe later. Mom will answer. I'll ask Mr. Kelly to call her.

Mr. Kelly offered me a bedroom beside his bedroom where I can sleep. Good thing there is another room where I can stay. I thought maybe it was Mrs. Kelly's room before they separated. But when I went in, there was no things but a small mirror on the table.

Mr. Kelly was kind like Mrs. Kelly. I told him my name, Janice Melbourne but he does not know that I am Mrs. Kelly's student. I kind of don't want to tell him yet. I wanted to surprise him when I find dad.

"I hope she still thinks about me. I may not be the same but I wish that she can still be my friend." he said in a low voice.

"Don't worry, Mr. Kelly. She is fine."

"How do you know?"

Uhmm. I don't want to tell him yet. There is a perfect time, I think?

"Uhm. I think so. Let's pray that she is." I said awkwardly.

"Yeah, I always cling to God about everything." he smirked.

At that time, I am really sure that I am in safe hands. He told me that once in his life, he was unsure especially that dark time when they separated but when he finally considered to make time for himself, he realized "Maybe there was really a perfect time for us. I realized that God has a better plan because after that incident, I only depend on God on my life."

"I see." I shook my head. "I see you are a good man. I imagine you being a good dad."

He just smiled. "Here. I brought you new clothes. I asked my neighbor if she could lend you some."

"Oh, thank you."

"She thinks that I adopted a daughter so I could have someone with me. I just told them a friend came by."

I laughed. "Well, you can be a good dad."

He smiled. "Anyway, let's find your real dad. I think he misses you already."

"Yeah, I miss him too."

It's true by the way. I like him as a dad. He understands me and also understands sign language that is why I can easily communicate with him like how I communicate with dad.

But for now, the search is on!

Dad? Dad? Where is he? I sighed. Will I ever find him?

We looked everywhere. We asked everyone we could ask.

Will we ever find him?
