Will God summarize the whole Bible for me? Yep. Until now, I really wanted to be a three year old kid listening to once upon a time.

Me: God?

There was complete silence. I put my headphones on.

Me: God?

After a minute, my mom called me for dinner. Spare ribs for dinner. My dad's face was like "Yes honey! That is why I married you!" And wow. A blueberry pie. In a heart shaped pan. Then a word appeared to my head. L-O-V-E. But at that time, I thought of my love for the food so after prayer, I took the chance to eat the most I could.

Mom really cooks delicious meals that is why she needs to audition in Master Chef. I always tease her but she said that she does not need to be a chef to her dreams come true. "It is enough for me to have the best and most fulfilling job in the world, being a mom." She once said to me when I was seven years old.

I asked my mom about God.

"Mom, I need to ask you a question."

She raised her eyebrows, expecting me to speak.

"What do you think is the message of God to us?"

I caught her attention. "That is a deep question, Jan."

I asked again with a tone of voice expecting for an urgent answer. "Why did He write the Scriptures?"

She just looked at me and held both hands of mine. She smiled.

I really do not know what that smile is. What it means but I think mom knew Him.

"Love!" She replied surely, without hesitation.

Dad looks agreeing to what mom said. "Yeah, love!" I smirked. Knowing dad, he quickly agrees to mom when mom cooks a meal that he loves.

"I love you dad! I love you mom!" I chuckled. They both stared at me. My dad gave up but my mom stared at me a minute longer and I knew it was her signal.

Oh gosh! I'm gonna wash the dishes again!

This night, my mom reminded me to read the Bible. Before I sleep, I opened the Bible and I came to the words "The greatest of them is love!".

I had a feeling of lightness again. As I lay down my head, I cannot sleep. I put my headphones on. And the only thing I heard was a beating heart.
