After school, I went straight to my room, opened my laptop and decided to watch Netflix for the remaining hours of this day. Sadly, I have one project that I need to do. But I think I can do that later. Mom and dad was out after mom had fetched me. So, I was left alone again.

My stomach grumbles.

What can the refrigerator give me? I realized that it was almost the end of the month and maybe they went out to the grocery store. Nothing in here but leftover pasta, some leafy veggies, and a small chunk of cheese. So, maybe I'll be having this for a snack. There is a whole grain loaf bread on the table. I decided to get three slices and jump in my bed again for my favorite series.

Hours have passed and my parents have not arrived yet. I am now hungry for dinner. I looked again in the refrigerator wishing there was some kind of magic powers have made our fridge full. But it was the same as a while ago. I cannot anymore wait so I decided to take the leftover pasta, spinach and cheese. So what can I create from this? I searched easy and simple recipes on the internet. From these ingredients, I have found out some quick recipes to make pesto pasta. I have not cooked before but I'll try. Thanks to the chef bloggers.

After cooking, I tasted my pasta and I think it fits right my taste.

While eating, I watched my favorite series and I heard a knock on the door. They arrived!

I was expecting a whole bunch of groceries! Thank you Lord for these!

"What's that smell?" Dad noticed my the smell of my slightly overcooked pasta.

"Did you just cook?" Mom hurried to the kitchen.

"I'm sorry. I was just really hungry." I exclaimed as I hope mom would not scold me for slightly overcooking the pasta.

"Mom would not get mad if this tastes delicious Janice." Dad laughed. Mom pinched some of the pasta to taste. Dad and I looked at her, intensely. "Does it taste good, honey?" Dad asked. I hope so! I hope so!

Mom looked at me and gave a pinch to dad to taste. "Not bad for a young chef!" Dad chuckled. "Now, I know where you inherited that."

"You two have the same cooking levels." Mom laughed.

Oh no! I'm the same as dad in cooking? Certainly not like him in cooking. I know I messed up but I think I'm better than him. Just one star. I hope mom sees that?
