It was sad why some people teases a person who is very special. I am talking of the person I know, Pia. Pia has a very kind soul and she radiates her warmth every time I spend time with her. Her nanny said that she was born like that and she would have wanted to be a pilot. Yeah, I remember Pia telling me that if she became a pilot, she would let us travel the world with her. So sad, her parents are always away. And she has to go through discrimination. I never realized that this discrimination was so tough until I saw it myself.
Pia and her nanny was walking down the street, going home. She was holding her nanny's hand until she tripped. I saw some outsiders laugh and look at her. Just look at her. I quickly ran to help too.
"Gosh, are you okay Pia? Don't mind them." I told her while we helped her stand up.
"It's okay. I'm fine." She said smiling. "I'm used to this." Pia stood up while brushing off. "Wait, sweetie. I have a bandage here with me." Her nanny taped the bandage on a slight abrasion on her knee.
Seeing people smile despite what happened is such an amazing thing to watch. "Don't worry Pia. They just don't know they are laughing at the next big pilot of the world."
We laughed. "Janice, are you not going home?" her nanny asked.
"Oh, would you like to have a ride?" I said as I see my dad beeped his car. "Yo, Janice!"
I introduced dad them to dad and he agreed to give them a ride home. "Okay, just tell me the directions." I can see the smile on their faces but Pia said that their house was just a few blocks away. "No, it's okay. I can drive you there, far or near." Dad insisted and she had no choice.
The car was quiet until I broke the silence.
"Dad?"
"Yes?"
"Could you tell Pia a joke?"
Pia suddenly gasped. "Oh, it's okay. No worries."
"Hmm. What do you call a plane who was about to crash?"
"What, dad?"
"An ERooooooRRRRRRR plane!"
Pia and her nanny laughes. "What?! Dad!" I giggled as well.
"I'm sorry I had to make that up. At least I sounded like a plane crashing!" Dad laughs as well.
Dad is really witty. I hope that joke made Pia feel a whole lot better. We bid goodbye as I see them walk to their house.
"Dad?"
"Yeah?"
"Thank you."
"What for?"
"Funny!" I squinted my eyes and chuckled. Dad is really.. just funny!
"Why are you laughing?" he looks at me and quickly focuses on the road while smiling. "Anyway, how's your day?"
I just gave him a thumbs up while lifting myeyebrows. "Okay!"
